I tried all these flavors except Ranch because I knew it was gonna be rancid. My favorites from this were PB and J and Sweet Corn.
Many years ago for American Thanksgiving, there were soda flavors made of mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and the like.

I have to hand it to Lester's Fixins for committing to the bit. And they're obviously doing something right, they've been around for years now. I'm sure virtually all their sales are for novelty/dare purposes. John nailed it, these things were made for reaction videos, even before reaction videos existed.

Americans typically drink all sodas cold and I think Europe in general does automatically chill their drinks. So my question is were these weird sodas served chilled or at room temp... Because my American mind recoils at the thought of these drinks warm.
Also the colder the drink the less unpleasant flavors you can taste (that's why shitty beers tell you to drink it cryogenically cold) so this sodas could have tasted better
I saw a lot of things during my two years in England. Cold soft drinks wasn't on that list.
I work at a fast food restaurant. And when customers who are from an European country comes inside to order their food. They never ask for ice. I have see people drink freshly brewed sweet tea that is warm without ice. None of the soft drinks were warm.
I'm American and I actually prefer most sodas at room temperature. But then again I never claimed to be normal.
@@ashleydowney1222 it's so confusing how they can enjoy it. I can only drink coke if it's ice cold, often partially freezing the bottle first. Warm just has so many unpleasant tastes.

I need to send you guys some strange Asian sodas. Among them, I've encountered garlic, wasabi, durian and clam flavors, which are all just as heinous as you might expect. It would be interesting to see how Dermot, in particular, would react to them.

this might be one of my favorite episodes. so many out-loud laughing moments.....
I once knew an artist who worked in smell and taste rather than the usual visuals and sound. One of her projects was lollipops that tasted like savory things. Some were absolutely delicious (smoked salmon, mashed potatoes), some were much better than anyone could reasonably expect (pizza, I want to say?), and one or two literally tasted like vomit (that would be cheeseburger. Which makes sense, that's a busy flavor profile to be mashed into a sucker).
Jamie is so funny...he & Shannon are perfect together - imagine them hanging out down the pub together LOL!

Just so everyone in the rest of the world knows, in America, we like to make terrible sodas, sell them in hardware stores and we drink them at parties to see which one is the worst and which is unexpectedly good. It's hilarious.

My sister got my dad a set of these for Christmas. They were the Thanksgiving dinner set. It had turkey & gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, candied yams, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie flavored sodas.
