Foxon Park seem to be a popular brand of sodas from Conneticut, so of course after a kind viewer sent us some, we had to try them out! So as we do, Irish People were gather to see what they thought of flavours such as Kola, Cherry, and...White Birch?

The mug on the white birch soda is because its usually called birch beer like root beer, and can either be red or clear like the one you had. It is from the sap of the birch tree

Birch beer is my favorite soda, but not white birch. To me white birch tastes like pure wintergreen, while dark birch is a more root beer like taste with wintergreen highlights.

YESSSS. BIRCH BEEEEER!!! I’m from CT and when you go to Pepe’s and get your pizza, you get a bottle of Foxon Park Birch Beer. It’s like root beer and cream soda had a baby. It’s so so goooood. I’m a lil sad they hated it but it’s a CT staple. I live in North Carolina now and they don’t have it. When I went up to CT I literally bought two cases from Pepe’s to bring home. 😅

Where in CT are you from? I dont think ive tried Foxon Park but i've seen it in at least a few grocery stores, gas stations and mini marts. Idk why they didnt have them try Hosmer Mountain or Avery's. I'm from Hebron, southeast of hartford off of RT 2. I always love a good Hosmer Mtn soda. Black Cherry, Grape, Strawberry, Ginger Ale or Orange Dry.

It's from East Haven. And White Birch is AMAZING! Though, watching this channel seriously makes me question my snack choices... Haha

From Connecticut, every time we visited my aunt in Ohio we had to bring her a case of white birch beer. They couldn't get it and she loved it.
I feel much the same, being from CT and living in Kentucky. Great bourbon, but I miss birch beer.
Chris D we have a local Philly Cheesesteak place here in FL (the owner is originally from that area) and one of the drinks in his soda machine is Birch Beer (I think the brand is Pennsylvania Dutch and it’s not White Birch) and my parents get it every time they’re down for a visit and we go there. My dad was born and raised in MD and my mom was raised in Northern VA.

Birch beer is an acquired taste and is best when it's served over ice. It is similar to root beer but has a distinct taste. Personally, I love it. Cheers to you all!

This is one of the funniest videos in a while, and Ciara is just the absolute best.

I’m from CT and Foxon Park is big, especially amongst us Italian-Americans. My fifth grade teacher was the daughter or granddaughter of the current owners of the company
Being from Connecticut, Foxon Park is my go to soda and I’ve never heard anything bad about it. I loved this video because it was hilarious. You should do another one but have people from CT be with the Irish people. I’d love to be a part of that lol.

Being from Connecticut, I've never hard of Foxon Park. But the two main (friendly) rivals in Central CT are Avery's soda from New Britain and Hosmer Mountain from Manchester/Willimantic, CT. Always been partial for Avery's and they allow you to create/bottle your own sodas (I believe), but Hosmer is quite popular as well.
Hello! I am a long time subscriber of your channel and I am from Connecticut! I was very pleased that you tried Connecticut soda and that you knew where our state was. Foxton Park soda is delicious with a Connecticut Hot Butter Lobster Roll or an “apizza”. I would suggest next time with ice. Thank you to the people who sent in the soda and thank you for trying it.

Foxon Park is a local soda to the New Haven area. You don’t really find it in grocery stores, most likely found in southern CT pizza places. It’s been around forever! I think the thing your missing is the pizza or chicken parm sub. The sweetness becomes more balanced with tomato sauce. Birch Beer & a Pepe’s pizza is the ultimate New Haven specialty.
White birch beer is the best!!! It tastes like wintergreen lifesavers.

There is a small refrigerator in the Fleet/Farm store stocked with exotic sodas. There are several kinds of birch sodas that come in red, white, or blue. I kind of like them.
Ayeeee! I'm from Connecticut, it's about time 😎 We have some pretty damn good pizza, we're known for that and Foxon Park is popular down on the shoreline. The company is based out of Branford, CT I believe. You can only buy this soda in certain stores/restaurants here. Hope you guys see this!

I’m from Connecticut. Foxon Park Soda is from East Haven and their orange soda is my favorite. Connecticut is known for having wealthy residents, lots of preppies, great schools (public, private boarding schools, and Yale). The New Haven area has a lot of Italian immigrants and the best pizza. We’re the 3rd smallest state. We love lobster. We pay a lot of taxes, we are on the New England shoreline halfway between NYC and Boston. We rock.

As someone from Connecticut I can tell you that they didn’t even get to the crazy Foxon Park Sodas. Also they use real cane sugar.
Yeah I mean they make Iron Brew which would of tossed them for a loop I think.

Foxon Park orange soda in the glass bottle is my favorite.
I kind of wish they had a bigger distribution. They really only sell it around New Haven. Can't get it in Stamford. I have driven up to their factory a few times and bought a couple of cases.

White Birch or Birch Beer is often recommended for really bad heartburn or upset stomach, very Wintergreen flavor

Rick Sanchez I used to live in East Haven. When I got pizza from Tolli’s I’d always get the orange soda. Modern in my favorite pizza but Tolli’s is great too.
It's got to be a Haven thing. Don't really see it anywhere else. Unless it's a pizza joint.
I'm in New Haven and I drink at least one liter of Polar Diet Birch Beer per day.

Birch Beer ,, thats old time stuff, I am 58 and remember when i was just a kid walking to a place called Haglers in Oradell New Jersey to get a pitcher of it for the dinner table every sunday after noon. Brings back alot of good memories , Thanks Folks !!

Just in case you failed chemistry, sugar and alcohol are chemically very similar. Many so-called "artificial sweeteners" are in fact "sugar alcohols." Some common ones are Xylitol and Sorbitol, as well as Glycerol. (Glycerin) Also note that the sugar alcohols are the ones that have a significant laxative effect. The artificial sweetener in the infamous _Haribo Sugar Free Gummy Bears_ is maltitol, another sugar alcohol.

Birch beer is something that came before modern rootbeer or sarsaparilla. If you cut the root of a birch tree it will both smell and taste similar to rootbeer but lighter and less sweet. Theres also a diffrence between red and white birch
Birch soda is something close in flavor to Root Beer, so for those in other countries that don't like Root Beer they probably won't like it.
P.S. Creamy Red Birch Beer is awesome.
Birch beer is far closer to wintergreen as a flavor but creamy red birch beer sounds amazing!
