The compound looks Great. I’ve been on a sugar diet this past week, I’m not overweight but I can tell the difference in how I feel and move in a short period so far. First diet I’ve ever been on as I’ve been your size all my life of 67 years. Kids are growing like weeds, noticed how much Otis feet have grown in those tennis shoes. Blessings to the whole family 🙏

Those caterpillars look like tomato horn worms. The big pots of curry looked yummy! I would have loved the beef innards and broth. It would have better for you than the donut. What were those witches fingers? Grapes? I want to grow some more Thai basil. Its so yummy on everything from noodles to soups. That market was much cleaner than the market in my village in Bali. It looked like the greens Damo bought were Kangkong or morning glory.

Always enjoyed going to the markets in Thailand, we had one very close to our ‘moo baan’ in Bang Bua Thong which we basically visited every evening to buy something for dinner. Most of the vendors knew me and tried speaking their best English with me. While I tried my best Thai in return 555! I can remember and visualize the last evening in Thailand before we moved to the Netherlands permanently. It still makes me emotional as I was watching over all the little market stalls and saying goodbye to the vendors knowing how much I was going to miss all of them 🥺
When Damo bought the little meatballs I nearly started drooling, those are really delicious! Funny anekdote for you, every time we went out and returned home, at pak so I before we’d hop on the motorbike taxi, we would buy freshly made Pad Thai, roti banana pancakes and a whole bunch of those meatballs for our 4 dogs. One night I asked my girlfriend well the dogs love them, I want to try one myself. I had no idea these were so delicious! Since that day I’ve had many 555
Thankfully in the Netherlands one of my wife’s friends makes very good ‘Sai krok Isaan’ which I regularly eat together with sticky rice. By the way did you know sticky rice tastes very good when dipped in Hellmann’s mayonnaise 😂

Hi Ryan and Mo, I know what you mean about smellavision at the market, there are so many different smells ranging from the sublime to the the downright disgusting! Most Isaan people eat the most strange things I've ever come across, and, like you I wouldn't touch them, but have tried most as my wife and father-in-law eat Isaan food all the time. I think it stems back to living off the land and eating everything they can get their hands on, throughout the year. Love those caterpillars, although they are a nuisance eating the plants, but hey that is their life and the world would be a poorer place without the wildlife. God bless you all and glad that the boys are on the mend. 😀❤🙏
