My husband has a hat that makes me feel like that too! We found it at a second hand store. Automatically made him look like Indiana Jones. ;) Along the lines of a tan fedora.
I was watching a video this week where a lady used a bit of resin in the bottom of her bottles to color whatever color she wanted. Just a bit in the bottom. She did sunflower designs and rainbows. Might be something to keep in mind if you need a particular color

keep in mind if you put windows ie bottles.. in the pantry... the canned goods you put in there are exposed to light and can cause them and fermented foods you may put in there for storage can shorten their shelf life Barbara
I got a load of unsorted fines from Willcox Sand and Gravel's crusher. Spread it out as a parking area and when it got wet it set up very hard. It cost less than AB mix. You might want to check it out

Pantry slang for pan tree, a pan tree was just that a lump of branching tree that you nailed in your kitchen to hang your pots and pans on in much the same way that cupboard was a board on which you stored your cups. When folk say pantry what they usually mean is Larder, I believe the transition of the meaning of Pantry came about in the nineteenth century when smaller middle class homes and many working class homes had cool brick cupboards built into the kitchen for the storage of food and pots and pans. Rodent proof cupboards were usually installed in the form of meat safes made from metal, often to be found in junk shops and old barn sales, a must for off grid living. Anyway to get to my main point deeply coloured glass best for Larder windows as they cool the light coming through obviously not a problem in a north facing wall. Unless you live south of the equator.
Amazing progress. Check out what Matt at Walker Stoves has available. A very diy friendly brick rocket mass cook stove that can be really beautiful & is crazy efficient. It's the best combo of rocket stove tech & functional, practical space heating & cooking. I'm sure you guys would make it a piece of art. Best of luck guys and keep on keepin' on!
ok a couple of Ideas, in the Kitchen area make the Island floating with big built in wheels that you can't see but you can lock in place. makes the space convertible. I did that in a house once and it was so rewarding to be able to move the island if we needed the space for group activities or large craft projects.. in the courtyarrd between the buttresses get some railroad ties and build in seating right between the earthbag lawers extending from buttress to buttress. I think that would be a really cool look for your area. Just some suggestions. Good luck on the build. we all can feel your excitement.

It got me thinking when you got on top of the dome. So do any of you get out a telescope and watch the stars or the planets. How about a roof top look out for the view and star gazing. Just a thought

Would need to know the ratio of materials in it. Generally you want that 30/30/30 split for best results.

You should do a small round planter in the center of the center courtyard and grow herbs for your kitchen!!!
