Thank you so much, Klaus. I called and your initial advice is priceless I will definitely be purchasing any and all hydraulic parts for our CLK 320 from Top hydraulics.
Refilled the oil in the pump's reservoir, replaced the solenoid, tried to move the top by using the usual switch, ...can not even hear the motor run, I do hear the solenoid going on and off. How do I test the actual motor itself? All the panels removed still OFF...does that matter?
Klaus, your help is really precious !!! The pump oil tank of my convertible emptied quickly even though I never opened or closed my convertible top. I was unable to find the oil leak. After the water entered my car, where the left rear passenger rests their feet (behind the driver), I discovered the yellow oil that was on the carpet. Where will the oil leak be? The main lifting cylinder Left? Thanks for your help.
