  • The Swedish Ministry of Defense has provided much military support to Ukraine in defending its country from the Russian invasion.
They recently delivered CV90 armored infantry fighting vehicles or IFVs. And this is also the third time they have sent military aid to Ukraine, and it is the most extensive military aid Sweden has donated to Ukraine.

@@davidelliott5843 upgrading old eqippment...like with more powerfull shells works to some extent...but u reach a limit quite fast how much a barrel can take, especially an older one, for example it wouldent hold up very long using modern 40mm charges...the barrel would shatter...but yes for older equippment with older type charges, barrel width was way more important than today... it probably also helps if u invented some of the modern steels alloys and steel meshes to withstand extreme pressure..
its like comparing older steel plated armour with meshed onced...wich is around 5 times stronger for its weight...and doesent really break like older generation once, its like comparing diomonds with Nitrogen-Carbon mesh diomonds (wich doesent shatter, thay deform and slows down the projetile..)

Our side used old Russian IFV's, "PBV 302" and the thing we were most jealous about were that the infantry in CV90 could make coffe inside the vehicle. An important Swedish add on. Don't want silly things like combat or other nonsense to interfere with the fika break. One of the reasons Sweden has created a lot of military hardware for a very long time was because of that neutrality and avoiding dependence on others to get the hardware to be able to defend the country against invasion. During a WW3 scenario a country Sweden would have had major issues remaining neutral if we wanted to buy U.S/UK / NATO weaponry .. just a simplified explenation and just one of the reasons why it was the obvious path forward for Sweden to develop and manufacture most if not all everything our military would be outfitted with. Sweden also had a developed industry early on and plenty of engineers to start tinkering with weaponry so that helped..

Canon rotation more angels , rubber tracks to make it more silent and some experimental new protection . Plans to use 195 in total till 2035 124 are having these upgrades now..Hope they never will be used in a war though.. i think from like the others Marder, Bradley, Soviet designs the Ukrainians probably may choose this a weapon of choice,, ..

@@Mrawelon82 The 90120 would do well I think xD
But I hear the 9040 could do well against even the more modern Russian tanks if it could shoot at it's sides. Russia focuses a lot on ERA. Which the rapid and accurate fire from the auto cannon will shred pretty fast :)
But yes, It's likely unwise to engage a tank with it unless a very good opportunity arrises.
To add, there is also a huge human factor. If the russian tank hear hits on them. They might just open the hatch and run away. Survival instinct is strong. I hear some stories from foot soldiers in Ukraine that they just fired a machine gun at a tank and the crew ran away leaving the tank fully opperational ^^

Russia has already lost, it's just a matter of "how badly" and the answer is "yes".
They can't conquer Ukraine or hold on to the captured territory without unsustainable warfare, they failed to prevent NATO from expanding, their military has suffered catastrophic losses that will take decades to build back up even theoretically, they can't out-do the output of America and Europe, they've lost their European raw resource partnership income, the brain drain and the loss to many forms of high tech will further put them behind by decades, they've fucked up their demographic decline from bad to worse, and politically they've become a hostile pariah nation to all but a select few dictatorships.
