Have had to drop out for a time to pack up and move...and will be buried for a while more. But I needed a fix and a New Hampshire Blizzard provided a day at full stop.
Hearing the news, the familiar voices I've grown so fond of, gobsmacked by all the FOs and WIPs, are just the medicine I needed.
I'm so happy Rachel is hearing how loved and appreciated she is, and how many people are eager to support her!!
    Thank you for another jewel.

Ooohhh, I have had Humulus in my queue for years, waiting and waiting until I found the exact light grey and golden yellow that I wanted (and would fit the gauge). In waltzes Mungo and I'm smitten! So excited you're getting the whole range of colors in, and I am hoping the 50% wool means the cotton won't hurt my hands. As always, the episode was great. As one of the cheeky testers I knit on a sleeve of the Dunrobin while I watched (such a great pattern, y'all have a treat in store!). Glad Rachel's Ko-Fi is live, love Kelsie and Emma's segments, and while I don't have a cat to help me do yoga, but my Border Terrier is always happy to assist. And lick my ankles.

Hello Kate, and thank you for being an intrepid tester for the Dunrobin! Yes I'm glad you brought up the sore hands with cotton because I experience that too. With it being 50/50 I think Mungo is going to be much more comfortable to knit. It's got a great feeling to it in the ball, I do love how all Retrosaria yarns feel. It's quite unique!!

Thank you Corinne & Maggie and the whole team for another wonderful shopcast. I live in Hampshire in the UK and discovered the shopcast during the pandemic lockdown. I feel connected to you despite the miles between us through the podcast and have been signposted by you to so many wonderful spinners and dyers in my own country! Yesterday I travelled to the Unravel Yarn Festival in Surrey UK and guess who I met? Yes, Julie from Black Isle Yarns and Katie Green from Katie Green Bean! Corinne I had a super chat with Julie (who is lovely) and she sends you her best and thanks for featuring her on the podcast this week. I asked about the correct pronounciation and she said she felt you were pretty much there Corinne - although she isn't a Gaelic speaker herself. So, its a real small world don't you think? Keep up the good work, Denise x

Looooove all the colorwork pieces!!!!! You all are so talented. I am very inspired by the mens saddle shoulder stripey sweater......I have purchased that book from TWT as well so I guess I know what Im casting on this weekend! Regarding biasing while knitting in the round...this is not present when knitting flat. So knitting garments in pieces flat will halt the nature of biasing. Its because the nature of knitting in the round is "directional" as in, always looping going from right to left. This is the same for ribbing in the round as well as brioche in the round, ect. So adding a single column of purl stitches down the side will not prevent biasing at all. If anything, it will draw your eye to notice that it is biased. As seen in many sock cuffs in 1x1 or 2x2 ribbing that you can see it twisting. The change in patten doesnt always affect the nature of the biasing but knitting flat will stop that from happening. If you have a sea of plain stockinette stitches it will be less noticeable to eye than a slanting faux side seam. However, the faux side seem can help greatly with the wet blocking process. If you wet set a biasing garment and use the aid of the faux purl seam to pin down the edges and let it dry like that, it will help tremendously. Depending on the yarn, it could possibly remove that bias nature. I am so excited to see this beautiful saddle shoulder sweater finished. I love the choice of blues and greens! It reminds me of a cool spring sweater ☘

Thank you so much for this explanation. This has opened my eyes to something I had not seen before. It’s so nice when someone in our knitting community takes the time out of their busy life to explain some of these details. We all want to be better knitters. I get lost in some of the details and spend decades, knitting something wrong because it’s just the way my grandmother did it. ❤

I really love watching everyone on TWT podcast! I'm really late watching this as I wasn't feeling well when it was released on Friday. I finally finished watching on Wednesday when I felt better! I didn't knit much this past weekend & after watching the video I feel even further behind in my knitting! Rejected my 1st Accessory KAL Project (Hat) in favor of another hat that is better for me right now! Happy Knitting Everyone!
Ps. Still need to go back & watch Rachael's postcard! I'd love to help her & her furbabies & feathered family out! I hope some of the mud has dried out! (Doubtful, I know).

Was watching the shopcast while working on my Radiant Star Cowl, and did a double-take when I saw Corinne's Star Cardi--the motifs are almost identical! Makes me want to try knitting another Radiant Star cowl in just two colors, like the Star Cardi.

Yes I believe the Norwegian Star is a very common motif but you can do so much with it depending on placement, size and what else is happening around it. Endless opportunities, it's really lovely! The Radiant Star cowl is gorgeous!!
