Herring are nomadic and pelagic baitfish, they feed on plankton, plankton use photosynthesis to grow and multiply. So when it’s sunnier the herring move up in the water column and the fish feed near the top. Herring lakes are almost exact opposite compared to other traditional bass lakes.
