Great vid Austin! i have had good success this year with upward chops similar to raising your jerkbait toward the end of a cast! thou the lakes around here in southern Ontario are milf lakes and busy as heck! so much floating grass its almost impossible throwing a treble bait 🤬
Do you ever use the zappu board floats? I have to use them once in a while being a bank beater but they work well and also help change the action of your bait a little bit.
I haven't used lead wire on my hooks but I do add stick on lead strips to the chin & belly's of my glide baits. I use 4 strips on my K9's to get them down a little more, they still float back up but extremely slow. Only glides I've been throwing recently is K9's, the chimera shad. Both have caught me solid fish. Current PB largemouth is an 11.4 on K9 in sake bomber color. I also have settled on 20lb line for my glide & soft swimbaits. I've been switching between 20lb floro & copoly. If you could only through glides on 1 line what's your preference currently??
I noticed you didn’t have any split rings or swivels. Most of the videos I’ve watched use one or both, is there a reason you prefer none? Thanks bud awesome wisdom shared. My sone got his first big glide bait fish on Jocassee this weekend, it was only a 4lber but he was excited
What do you think about the decoy quad hooks? Why the 3-treble owners over the quads? Don’t get me wrong I love owner hooks, just thinking you can have 4 points instead of 3 🤔
I like the quads but I bent a 1/0 out one time boat flipping like a 5lber and I couldn’t believe how soft their thickest hook was. Freaked me out, never went back.
Hey thanks, The tips are great-if the baits can be afforded by the commoner….$235 for a Clutch Boss? Not even addressing the Darter-Oh wait, that’s $235 also…. Really dude? C’mon, we shouldn’t have to go broke to catch fish….
These were just tips and happened to be the baits I had tied on! I love a ton of affordable “commoner” baits 6th sense Draw, River2Sea S Waver are catchers
$235 for a single lure and it cant hook fish. Seriously. I dont get it. If I pay that much money for anything it should work. I should not have to make modification at all. Ridiculous
this video helped me catch my first ever northern pike today on a glide bait!
Awesome! Not sure if that was the goal but congrats!!
I like big baits and I can not lie
Welcome to the dark side
Thanks bud I am brand new in the world of Glide baits I have never used them and I look forward to trying my new Glide bait on the lake 👍🏻
Great Vids, appreciate info you pass along!
100% Speed Kills. Almost my entire lineup is catered around that concept. Great tips Frosty :)
Magnificent video
Thank you 🙏🏽
Just picked up a trick shad, love the action on that bait. Good some big plans for it. Wish I would have had it in NC couple weeks ago.

Congrats to him! So awesome! I don’t think it helps provide added action and I want the bait to be as simply presented/ natural as possible.

I got all of my juicy tips up on FishTips.com search Jocassee and you’ll see them 👊🏽
