I'm going to study abroad in Kyoto soon. While studying abroad, how much time did you have to explore? Is it either solo or in a small group without an instructor? Also, how long were you there?
It’s most likely different for each group. When I studied abroad in Spain, I had a few hours after school, after lunch, and after dinner to explore. We also had weekends free. I’m going to study abroad in Kyoto this summer too, but this time my host family only makes breakfast and dinner, so I think I’ll have time after our afternoon excursions and maybe after dinner. My orientation isn’t until May, so hopefully I’ll know then
I honestly had little time to explore 😅 around 8PM is when we would 'break free' but by then everything was closed except for bars! we were a group of 24 with 3 instructors and i was there for 2 weeks (:
