This is so cute and helpful, im glad you could offer insight into what you did and didnt need to bring. I have issues with overpacking and convincing myself i need everything so your comments saying what you did and didnt need was great
I am going to Japan in two weeks to study abroad there for 5 months and this was so helpful! Would you say it was hard to navigate the trains with all your luggage? I’m arriving in Tokyo and staying there for a week before heading to my uni in Osaka and I’m worried about my luggage lol
You should definitely try to ship your luggage if possible!! Its hard to maneuver the train station with the suitcases so its definitely worth the money to ship it over. If you could, pack a bag of necessities (or a carry on) to last you for the first week in tokyo! but im glad this was helpful! You’re gonna have a blast!!!
Little question! Why’d you pack the suitcases in each other? Is it for practical reasons or does it have something to do with paying less at the airport?
Hello!! If i remember correctly, it was for practical reasons. Since i was flying alone i was worried about carrying all the baggage by myself. It turned out not to be that difficult in the end haha. I think i wasnt sure at that point if i wanted to ship my luggage to my dorm (i was planning on hauling the suitcase everywhere in the train system). But i decided the night before to just ship everything to my uni dorm (so glad i did). I highly recommend shipping your luggage
Wah goodluck with your abroad study! Im planning to study abroad too and im expecting to go over this october and study for a year! How long is your study abroad programme?
