The SR20DET was actually released in 1991 for the facelift "Chuki" model of the 180sx. What people have come to know as Type X, is actually the "Kouki" model and was a trim level facelift with the front bumper, tail lights, different side skirts, front lip and optional rear bumper spats. The Kouki model was released in August 1996, and officially ended in October 1997, so a very short production run. As you can see from the catalogue in the video, there is also a Type S and a Type G, but they all have the same front bumper and tail lights.

The one that have the vents like the R34 Z-Tune, for me that hood completes the Type-X body kit, just a suggestion 😅

89 to 91 they used the ca and then 91 onward it was sr20. I think 91-93 was the black top sr and then 94 onward was the red top. And then the end of the s14 and onto the s15 the notchback was used. Not sure about details on the notchback exactly though

Keep in mind that the Type X "sidemarkers" aren't reflective and were only used as turn signal repeaters in Japan, as sidemarkers aren't required there.
I would have re-worked the intercooler piping before hacking up those rare/expensive parts. Actually, not would have, that's what I did on my 180sx front end.
i purchased the wire conversion kit but when plugged into the turn signals they dont work. They light up when headlights are on but my turn signals as a whole don't work including the ones on my taillights when plugged into those cables

Plus, too many people are doing reviews now so it just doesn't seem special anymore. I'm not saying I'll never do reviews, I just uploaded the C8 Corvette, but it's less of a focus for me at the moment. Thanks for understanding and I hope you'll give the new content a watch!
The bumper brackets don't have anything to do with the crash/bash bar. I did not have room for the factory crash bar so I ordered a tubular bar from Street Faction and that accommodated everything. You still need the brackets to properly mount it.
Can someone tell me where I can get my 240sx or 180sx BTW I'm guessing the 180sx frame of it is good to repair and the parts ??? I really want to find one and restore it look online I been looking for a cheap 1996 Toyota 4runner that's the car I'm to towing it with

Typx wasn’t the only model with kouki trim, and it started in 96, sr cam in to the picture in 91, same year as the the ka24de in the us

I'm pretty sure I ordered them from Nissan, however the headlight stiffener brackets I had to source used.

Because I had a lot of this stuff way before I decided to do an RB swap. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do to make things work.

Wrong the 180SX was powered by the SR20 while The European Counterpart 200SX was powered by the CA18

You are wrong! Zenki(pre face lift) 180SX's are CA18, the Kouki(face lift) 180SX are SR20 :)
