In case you are still looking for the internal setup - you will need to replace the complete internal inlet valve for a new one if you have the older ball cock valve with a long float arm. You can pick up a whole new unit on ebay etc by searching bottom inlet fill valve and the cost for a cheapie is about $10. Just make sure it has a spur tube near the top for the small hose to connect through to the Spout on your "sink".
Whatever you do, don’t try to save water by leaving a toilet unflushed until that toilet is absolutely full of junk! That just makes other things get dirty faster probably by letting germs multiply and spread! Besides, it’s rude to leave behind a mess and expect someone else to pick it up!

Note, the small stick to push & flush the toilet can be found in some art friend store and use a scissors to cut to length in case you lost the stick.

With the original tank lid, or make a new one made from concrete mix... foam will not support these fixtures.
