    very good indeed... much better than directly over the toilet if you have space. LOVE IT

    That was super cool, I mean I literally love it: first because it’s grey water recycling at home and second, I really like that cobalt blue color. Nice job :)

    That’s excellent, I had a similar idea for our off grid farm where you really have to be aware of your water usage.
    I’ve used the ones before where the sink is on top of the cistern and they’re awkward to use plus you always have water splashing all over your toilet from hand washing.
    This is perfect

    Oh my God you are a genius!!! I have just come across your video. Thank you so much for sharing this brilliant idea and links to items needed! I have been struggling for ages trying to have a small basin installed in a very small cloakroom with only a toilet. Every plumber I have ever consulted stated they had to do a huge construction, breaking through walls to be able to install an incoming water pipe, as well as a waste pipe. It would cost thousands of pounds! Good thing I never bought into that idea! Your video solves the matter - so simple to execute and not expensive! Amazing! Thank you 🙏

      If you have a toilet you must have cold water coming in and a waste pipe going away. It is very easy to connect to them. Breaking into walls just depends on whether you care about exposed pipes or not.

    Solid soap leaves white sometimes greasy stains in the sink. However liquid soap doesn"t. Use liquid soap and it shouldn"t clog :)

    Cool video, I'm going to try it!
    This question probably testifies to my ignorance about plumbing but is the pressure behind the water coming into the toilet enough to power it up to the sink? And then you just made sure that there's a slight downward tilt to the pipe bringing the water back into the toilet?
    Thanks!

    • @bootsowen
      @bootsowen  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes to both

      @@bootsowen One last query - the tube going from the water-into-toilet valve to the sink head - did you move that to regular piping at some point? Stick with tube the whole way and then use an adaptor to hook it up at the faucet? Thanks!

    • @bootsowen
      @bootsowen  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You have to make up some sort of adapter depending on what you can get in your local plumbing merchants

    Just a quick question. I can’t find the link to the type of cistern on your video, I.e. with an internal U-shape cut at the back, which allows the pipe to go through, without disturbing the cistern lid sitting properly over the cistern. I have researched the internet and cannot find a cistern like yours. Would be grateful if you would offer please a link - or did you manage to make that opening yourself? Hope you can help. Cheers

      you could drill a hole in the back of any ceramic cistern with a tile drill bit. I have posted videos of how to do this in tile, and it is exactly the same in ceramics like this.

    Hi Owen, Really cool idea. Did you have any issues cutting the back of the cistern for the waste/return pipe or was it already moulded that way? Thanks.

    • @bootsowen
      @bootsowen  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was moulded that way, so I worked to that, otherwise I would have taken out the angle grinder with a diamond wheel.

    Why not just connect the sink drainage pipe to the water line of the toilet? First I thought pressure wouldn't allow it but I have seen a Mexican guy doing just that and it works, he does it outside the wall but the idea is the same.

      So then if you haven't washed your hands there is no water to flush, and if you keep washing where does the water go? Which solution have you tried and how did you get on?

    • @Salemej
      @Salemej ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bootsowen If you haven't wash your hands... just open the faucet, also toilets have an overflow tube inside the tank.
