I am Roman Catholic so every Sunday as a kid I sang and played music in Church, I absolutely adored the smell of the incense being swung in the thurible.
Hi Sarah, I love Velvet Amber Oud but I've discovered the trick I needed because at the beginning I found it completely overpowering, even if I only used a single spray. After much frustration I have found that I love it on my clothes and in the air but not on my skin. I agree it's a gem. I have nothing else that smells like it in my collection!
I have and own amber Oud you are absolutely right it is strange smelling which could be the insence in it that I never thought of.l think I'll pull that one out this week while it's still cold here . Now let me enjoy the rest of the video ☺️ you look so pretty 😍 tfs 🙏🏼

I was surprised that you didn’t mention Suki Essence by Weil. Club de Nuit Intense by Armaf is absolutely one of my favorite fragrances right now (thanks again for the rec!) I didn’t realize it was an incense fragrance! I don’t think I have many perfumes that have incense in them, I’ll have to go recheck the notes! Loved the video, as always you make me want to buy them all!! Even the ones you say aren’t “safe” 😂
My all-time fave (and of course it's been long discontinued) would have to be Belle D'opium! It's smoky, elegant and a bit mysterious, with a wonderful, underlying sweetness. This is one of those rare scents that actually does magic on my skin...a "swooner" as I like to call them ;) (frags that you smell and instantly go "ahhh...")

You should really give it a try again, I normally spray one good spritz in the crook of my arm, the dry down is something special. The first spray is quite intense but it sweetens up really nice (it takes time, but it's worth it). I also love Rihanah VAO, also one of your recommendations :-)

It's a sunny spring day here in the UK, but I've just lit a stick of Japanese incense (Kyo-nishiki Autumn Leaves if anyone is interested - it is lovely!) and it got me wondering if there is such a thing as a spring/summer incense, that is smokey but still delicate and suitable for warmer weather, without being overpowering or giving people a massive headache?
Lush used to have Sikkim Girls perfume that was probably this category. My ex used to refer to it as "that hippy perfume".I've got a teeny tiny bit left.

Club de Nuit Intense is my favorite go to fragrance for going out and dancing. I layer it with L’Extase Rose Absolue for a dynamite combination 🌹🔥🥰
