I have Rien intense incense on today and I can’t get enough of it I was sniffing myself at work hehe
virtually "all" of these colognes which you have showcased are in the $200 to $250 range. You must be VERY wealthy to be able to spend that much on your ten best colognes ( probably close to $3000 for all ten of them with tax and all). Just think, a burglar who might break into your condo could retire to the south of France just by stealing your colognes !! Have mercy !! Are there no nice incense colognes that come in at "under" $100 ? ? ?
In Europe Rien Intense Incense costs 100eur , but I see it on discount now for 80 eur. But I guess the other ones are pricier

Already have and love Fille en Aiguille, This is Him and Kyoto. I struggle a bit with Casbah but I'll get used to it hopefully !
Sampled and enjoyed Laudano Nero, Cardinal (and Eau Sacrée)... now I need to try Encens Mythique, Botafumeiro and Olibanum ! 😁
A few other fragrances worth a sniff : Tanoke (Odin New York) ; Woody Mood (Olfactive Studio) ; Black (Comme des Garçons)

Casbah can be a bit challenging to wear, for having a very strong churchy incense note, but it's one of the best in its genre. You have a wonderful taste! I need those recommendations 😊
+1 for CdG Black and Woody Mood. I have both and love them!

A slightly gourmand incense... sampled it, enjoyed it... but did not buy it for cheap when I had the opportunity... now I regret it. 😄
Great review. Unlike you, I did not grow up with incense at home or church but when my fragrance journey morphed from designer fragrances to oils, I fell in love with incense fragrances on skin. Now that I enjoy collecting niche fragrances, I revisit my love for incense scents. I have several but you’ve piqued my interest in Laudano Nero. Thanks as always!!

I think if I remember correctly the red and white label of casbah is the original formulation.., thank god I bought 5 bottles when I had the chance.., as I did the same with Ríen intense I also bought 5 bottles
Commes de garçons Series 3 Incense Avignon… All the others are just a hundred miles behind…
My favorite is La Liturgie des Heures by Jovoy with its green notes of cypress
My favorite incensy fragrance so far, and one I wear relatively frequently, is Bentley for Men Absolute.
Love incense but actually except for Z&V This is Him (which I actually do not like much honestly --gets into bugspray territory for my nose) have not smelled any of the others you mentioned.
ELd'O Rien Intense Incense was already in my to-smell and potential wish list, but just added Amouage Interlude, and the Serge Lutens Fille en Aiguilles
I'm so curious to try Bentley For Men Absolute!
Sad to hear about Zadig & Voltaire, but not all fragrances work the same way for any of us.
Rien Intense Incense is an animalic incense bomb, but it's such a wonderful creation! Interlude and Fille are definitely must tries 👌👌

@@ScentedMoments By the way, I've read somewhere that Bentley Absolute is basically the same formula as the original Gucci pour Homme. Allegedly the perfumer of both himself, Michel Almairac, said so. Not sure how accurate that might be though, I never smelled the OG Gucci PH so can't say how similar it might be.

Super list! You should sample Eau sacré by Heeley which is a bit more complex and bit less churchy but still very much incensy. You absolutely should try to get your hand on Trudon - Mortel (best church incense i've come accross) and the less known but fantastic Mizensir - Incensum!
Trudon mortel sounds good. But they do not deliver to Europe. Have used Visit from Azzaro for years. But the fragrance is no longer produced.
I ordered the Incense Set because I find Cardinal quite good. Am curious about the other fragrances. But in comparison I pay for the fragrances 5 times compared to azzaro.

I’m looking for Myrrh prominent fragrances, any suggestions? I’m not particularly fond of Vanilla or gourmand notes. Thank You In Advance!
P.s. L’Autre Oud Eau de Parfum by Lancôme has quickly become my favorite Myrrh fragrance so far, even though it is usually listed as an Oud/Rose, the Myrrh is quite prominent from first spray till dry down. Excellent projection, silage and longevity as well!

One of my favorite fragrances period is a frankincense, I believe, fragrance. Gucci A Midnight Stroll. Incense, cade oil and cypress. Absolutely a wow and love at first sniff. Gentlemanly kind of wear
I need to try the exclusive line of Gucci. That one seems to be a winner 👌👌
@@ScentedMoments the EDPs are all good imo. Voice of the Snake, Last Days of Summer and Hortus Sanitatis are maybe a little more challenging for less experienced noses but still wows if you ask me. Eyes of the Tiger is the easiest. Kind of a gourmand amber

I don't like frankincense at all :'( But I love love love Encens mythique !!! I appreciate incense in Olivia Giacobbetti's perfumes as l'Ether de Iunx (amazing !) or Passage d'Enfer and Passage d'enfer extreme by L'Artisan Parfumeur.
I also like Encens & Lavande Serge Lutens soooo classy and beautifull
Nice list. Hey I have a question, do you find Casbah and This Is Him to be at all similar? I’ve heard people mention Casbah having vibes of LDDM, which I have as well and also JV Dark Rebel and JV Platinum (contains angelica) and I find them all to have similarities. Love incense and the DNA but as intrigued as I am by Casbah I’m trying to avoid too much redundancy. I’d appreciate any thoughts, thx.

I tried Issey Miyake Intense (it is incense based) and it traumatized me from incense. It smelled like a very old man in a church on a rainy day. But I am interested to try some of your recommendations.
Wearing the Blue Beast Interlude Man today... Incense dominant. I have Fille en Aiguille and it is for sure a top notch juice. I have This Is Him! and it is a great juice but I don't get much incense.
Jao, your reviews are excellents. It seams that to be a good perfumes reviewers you dont need to know anything about perfumes , notes , histoirs etc, it only takes to be a good speaker and say rights words and of course good computer with a large screen where you can read . : -)

@@alethink5492 It has a benzoin vanilla with a churchy incense. It’s sweetness isn’t what i would define as sweet. It’s perfect balance.

i cant say laudano is an incense fragrance. Also imo not so similar to ba
It's more similar to the drydown of BA. BA opens with those roasty coffee notes but eventually settles down into a sweeter, labdanum heavy phase. Laudano Nero opens straight into that, plus there is a sourness from the cognac

I burned every evening original frankincense from Somalia
Layer zadig & voltaire just rock and this is him it’s sooo good. They are both similar but I get the best parts of both and it’s a killer
