One detail I loved to have noticed after rewatching his flight to the moon, is that, at every leap Hancock did to get further from her, before the flight, his landing progressively went from chaotic to heroic. His first landing breaking the ground. His second landing barely scratching it. And his third landing, finally reaching the superhero landing.
Moral of the story: love is immortal, and true love makes us stronger, no matter what, we grow stronger even if not together, knowing that both of us is doing fine ❤

They hadn’t be close enough both exerting power when they had the original fights but had been by the end of the film it ultimately doesn’t take long. Also the screen said a month had passed between his escape and the phone-call & when he flew away he looked as if he was heading to the moon & I suppose you can’t get much further away so I’m guessing he was there the full month. I never took it as him flying to the moon. He was just getting out of town, and the moon happened to be in front of where he was going.

This movie reminds me of old blackface movies. Remember those movies? Black face was used to caricature black people for comedic effect. It was how the entertainment business used to normalize and justify racism back in the day. This movie does a similar thing. Men are caricatured. Mary is a goddess.
