Buzzards are for emergencies. Savages are for planned attacks (and troop transport IRL). Valkyries are for teamwork. And in a game of actual/mental 9yr olds playing a game they're not legally/mentally allowed to touch for 4 years/ever, teamwork is a very rare commodity.
Me and 3 friends usually play together, and one of us picked up this after using it on a mission... when we four get on it, NOBODY can touch us, like, NOBODY, even Hydras bow down to this powerhouse when it's fully manned.
I know this video is old, but I have a valkyrie and here are a few pros and cons that he didn't list in the video, for anyone still deciding over buying this helicopter. +If you have 4 people, you can do a lot of damage against anything, really. -Valkyrie blows up in one rocket. -Valkyrie will start smoking very quickly, and it's blades will stutter even if it's just cops shooting you. +The explosive turret has an unpatched glitch to be able to look anywhere 360* instead of 180*, just search that on TH-cam. +If there's only one person in the back machine guns, you can change which turret you want to use, which is very useful for shooting if the Valkyrie goes too far or an enemy goes the other way, use the "right on the d-pad" equivalent or the "USE" button. +There are three different symbols that could spawn with your Valkyrie, making that sort of cool. -Expensive! Verdict- It depends if you play regularly with friends. If so, buy it, it's a great cop and player rampage. I also landed near 3 randoms when my friends weren't on and they hopped in and we killed a bunch of cops and players. If you play solo though, this helicopter is very expensive and I recommend buying another helicopter. The buzzard is very useful as it handles great, and it's solo-centered but still has 3 passenger seats. You can also call it in wherever and whenever if you're a CEO/VIP. Plus it's 1.1mil cheaper which is a huge plus. Thanks for reading.
As a owner of a Valkyrie I totally concur...get a buzzard or akula if you wanna fly solo..Valkyrie is a squad transport\air assault vehicle designed solely with offense, transport, and maneuverability in mind..
Ok the one hit rocket is good cause it shows that A they balance out the game B making it fun by making it realistic also which means it could be in videos such as the apocalypse now movie recreation honestly if you think about it it's still a good aircraft and that's why I'm grinding to get that thicc beast
One thing i noticed with this chopper is when it is stored in a hangar and made into a personal aircraft the explosive gun gets extended range but only when shooting down at the ground.

The Hunter is a 2 person version of this aircraft. The passenger can get (If you have the Hangar Workshop installed) this helicopter's explosive machine gun, and the pilot gets flares/chaff and gets BOTH barrage and homing missiles.
When NPCs fly it, Valkyrie becomes very formidable. They know immediately where you are, so they can spawn kill you with the explosive cannon over and over.

It's not based off the Huey from Vietnam. It's based off the Viper, a modern upgraded variant that's used by the U.S. Marines (you may recognize from Battlefield). Rockstar called it Valkyrie because it's a reference to the song Ride of the Valkyries that played in a scene with Hueys in the movie Apocolypse Now. The Warstock Description perfectly nails it's overuse in action movies.

The UH-1 Is the name of the Vietnam era heli. The UH-1Y is what the Valkyrie is. Basically the only major difference is the engine, and the technical aspects of course.

It's a great helicopter, fully seated and with the pilot hovering over the "enable-passivemode-button" it is unstoppable. Again, decent handling, not hard to fly at all. BUT DO NOT BUY IT! It's completely useless. All your mates probably bought a Hydra or a Savage, so they're never gonna wanna ride with you. So you go find some random player instead. While the front turret is way better... The sidemounted miniguns look way more dramatic so people instinctively go for these. And before you've been able to send them a message saying "FOR FUCKS SAKE, GET IN THE FRONT!" you're already blown up by the guy trying to kill you. (trust me, EVERYONE goes for the miniguns...) So there's really only ONE reason to buy it. If you like Vietnam movies... because when CCR - Fortunate Son comes on Rock Radio you will feel like a badass. (but that song is only like 2 min long so you'll miss it before you even get up in the air)

The Valkyrie is a really fun if you have friends who play GTA I mainly use this as my workhorse when my group needs to do some money making. Also fun fact about the Valkyrie even though it is a large helicopter at can get really close to what ever you need to get close to.
I was flying with a mate in my Savage on my way through Blaine County and we spotted one of those Vietnam choppers in the distance, I thought I’d go check it out and if things went sour I could just blow them up with the middles on my Savage. I didn’t even get in missile range before we were being pelted with bullets and the Savage was well on its way to a watery grave courtesy of Lago Zancudo.... so yeah if you’re approaching a fully manned one of the these things keep your wits about you, it’s no cakewalk that’s for sure

The Miniguns Are Angled In A Eay To Where Unless You Are Following Directly Behind Them, You Can Be Hit, Drastically. And If The Pilot Can Show The Valks Underbelly, And The Co Pilot Has Decent Timing, They Can Explode Enemy Air Crafts Relatively Easily.

If I could give it a much needed buff, I'd give it pilot-operated homing missiles, countermeasures and good armor. Pretty sure that would make it so much more worth it, even in 2022.
GTA is never about one ring to rule them all. Well except for Lazers. But however, if you know how to effectively use countermeasures other than running towards the same thing over and over, Valkyrie is simply the best when u wanna rekt a tank, an APC, a MOC, heck even an Insurgent pickup. It is the true king in the sky to ground units.
I would use this more than the Savage (since its cannon has a better range, and can be pivoted), but I tend to play as a lone wolf. Kind of a shame. All that said, it's still fairly vulnerable, since it's very weak (similar to the other helicopters), and homing launchers always have a tendency to glitch out and turn invisible (especially when things are laggy).

QUICK TIP: if 1 person is on the machine gun (sides) press right on the d-pad on xbox one or ps4 to go on the other machine gun so even if you have one friend you still have a somewhat 360 view (i don't know the button on pc you have to figure it out yourselves) try it, see if i'm right.

All that said, it's still fairly vulnerable, since it's very weak (similar to the other helicopters), and homing launchers always have a tendency to glitch out and turn invisible (especially when things are laggy).

QUICK TIP: if 1 person is on the machine gun (sides) press right on the d-pad on xbox one or ps4 to go on the other machine gun so even if you have one friend you still have a somewhat 360 view (i don't know the button on pc you have to figure it out yourselves) try it, see if i'm right.

I think the Valkyrie is based more on the Bell UH-1Y Venom but has some Huey compenets but not entirely Vietnam based.
