    These would be perfect gifts for Mothers Day & Christmas. You can even personalize with a name on the flat part. Thanks for sharing!!

    Well that is great! You made some really pretty hooks. I especially like the one with the shells that is clear.

    Thanks for sharing, I think they are worth making if you just want to have some special hooks personalized for yourself. It seems like a lot of work if you want to try and sell them to buyers. Overall great video, and short and to the point.☺

    That was great. I bought the molds. Mine came out wobbly.😀 The smaller ones are really difficult to get the molds off. Eh, practice makes perfect. Nice job.👍🏽

      I'm glad you tried it! 🙂 I also noticed later that the smaller one (6.5mm) I made was still a little bendable. But I can still work with it. I'm glad you liked the video! Happy crocheting!

    Turned out cute! I've been watching a few videos on making these to sell and it seems everyone goes in with a burring(?) tool and sandpaper afterward to get rid of the sharp edges because that flat rectangle happens on the back of every single one. :/

    • @YarnNecklaces

      That would be nice. I had a thought of using a pen mold (you know the tapered molds that go over pens) and just using a crochet hook instead of the pen. I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

    Thats basically ehat Furls hooks are. Acrylic hooks made from resin. I'm not a fan of furls but I don't like fat hook handles, so that is why. I have nothing against "acrylic" hooks, as long as they are 4.5mm or larger. Smaller than that they tend to snap eaily in half (probably because I have a death grip)
    But I love the idea of making personalized hooks with glitter and colors or whatever.
    I was distracted while watching, so I don't know if you mentioned it or not, but you should ALWAYS work in a well ventilated room and wear a mask for protection as well as gloves (which I know is difficult to do when working with small objects!) But your skin and lungs will thank you for it.

    • @YarnNecklaces
      @YarnNecklaces  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know what you mean about the thin acrylic hooks. I have also snapped a few. You made me laugh about your "death grip"! You're right it's very important to have a well ventilated room and wear gloves when working with resin. I didn't think about wearing a mask but that's a good idea too. I was wearing the gloves at first but then took them off to put the tiny shells in.

      @@YarnNecklaces I do a little bit of resin work in my spare time. Its really a great hobby to get into! But not many people think about what it does to the insides of your body. So the mask is a must!

      You think the quality would be about the same as ones u got? I see reviews are low. What kind of reviews did the ones u got have?

    • @YarnNecklaces
      @YarnNecklaces  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I think the quality will probably be the same. Mine had average reviews also. I read through all the listings for crochet hook molds on amazon and most of them said the same things in the reviews - mainly the tips were hard to fill (fill the whole hook almost all the way to the top with resin and won't be as hard), some were wobbly (you can use a small object to prop it up if it doesn't want to stand up straight), some molds tore when trying to remove it (coat the hook with cooking spray before you start), and some molds were crooked when received (if try to to set them straight with objects on the sides or if too bad just return them- Amazon makes it easy to return).

    • @KrissD.
      @KrissD. 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@YarnNecklaces
      Ya but each time u do a return on Amazon they add em to ur file account and if have too many returns they shut down ur account put on hold for awhile. 😩 so my hubs and I are now more cautious with ordering and returning. Since it happened to him once. 😤

    • @YarnNecklaces
      @YarnNecklaces  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KrissD. Oh wow, I had heard of people's accounts getting shut down for too many returns, but I thought that was rare. I can see why you would want to be cautious. Its up to you if you want to try them.
