I do love how laid back and down to earth this channel is. I don't like crochet channels where the creator always has a perfect manicure and just acts smug.
Also there's nothing wrong with making a fun video where you just play with a stick for a bit. I enjoyed watching it with a brew.

Aww thank you!! Yes, a lot of channels these days are so high production then they complain of burn out lol I have always simply filmed in natural light on a point and shoot, it's usually the editing that exhausted me so I really enjoyed doing a simple video on my phone just of something I'd do normally ☺️

This is awesome! My husband does wood turning, and they like to use a microwave or oven on a really low setting, maybe the lowest your oven is capable of, for drying out wood. If you use a microwave I'd do maybe 15 seconds, let it cool off, then another 15 seconds and so on. If you dry too quickly it may crack.

Love your hook. The design in the hook is beautiful. Hopefully it doesn’t dry to fast and splits. That would be a great shame. I have made quite a few hooks of different sizes using dowels since my legs won’t let me walk in the woods to collect branches. 😩.. And I could buy a package of different sized dowels for just a couple dollars. The first one I made was a Tunisian crochet hook because I couldn’t find any around where I live and quite a few people on TH-cam were doing Tunisian crochet. I sanded it down very smooth and had no problems with it. It was about three feet long and I made a blanket with it. It came out beautifully. I also made some regular length hooks and coated a couple with clear nail polish since I didn’t have any varnish and they worked just fine. The thing you have to do is sand them down really good with extra fine sandpaper and run them over some scrap yarn to see if you got all the snags out. Stay safe and healthy and keep on crafting

That's amazing!! What lovely Tunisian hooks to own and work with ☺️ I plan to slow dry the hook on the windowsill so hopefully it won't split 🤞
