When my old water pump pressure tank rusted out, I used two large discared Gas cylinders to replace it, the problem was geting rid of the smell aditive they use

Believe, I'm an ER MD, and most likely you won't find 'spare parts' for the above mentioned much needed body parts!!.

You need to be careful when removing fittings from non purged gas cylinders ,if you get a spark they can explode.
Also your hands are you’re livelihood wear gloves, you can buy smokers for £20-£30 .

Not a bad idea. But in terms of craftmanship is it really quite rustic. Somehow everything is slightly croocked and above still there are sharp edges everywhere. With a litle more attention to detail, it would be even nicer to look at.

I've cut up many of those cylinders to make "Hang" drums - I was always amazed that, despite multiple flushings with water, you could still smell the gas. It must permeate into the steel.
yep it does, search for NACE and you will see we use special steel for pipelines and valves.

Once you’ve filled it with water and then emptied it, put the cylinder onto a bonfire and that will get rid of the smell and the paint. Underneath the paint it is galvanised so grind that back where you want to weld.

Like the idea but personally would use a larger tank or even an old heating fuel oil tank that actually big enough to heat shop or home
With she'll and tube design and a self power fan the ones that don't require to be plugged in but the heat from fire warms and it generates it's own electric Flo that turns fan blades hotel the fire fast the fan moves very efficient

Bom dia amigo g9stei do seu trabalho ótima invenção, me diz uma coisa como se chama essa máquina de solda e que nome e tipo desse pincel que vc usou para soldar e riscar essa botija , pois sua solda ficou ótima e esse pincel branco além de riscar bem ficou bem visível o risco, facilitando na hora de cortar com a lixadeira.

Добрый день, коптильню лючше делать из нержавейки. Второе, шепу надо замачивать в воде, и третее, обязательно нужен лоток для сбора жира. Иначе он горит и получается горечь, и не полезно. А в целом прикольно.

Why bother struggling to undo the brass tap, simply knock it off with a sledge hammer, l’ve done it lots of times.
You need to be more careful, your hands are your first tools, look after them and they'll be very helpful.

I remember back in the 70s two men was cutting a tank open they didn't realize that it still had flammable fumes which blew the hell out of them.
Kids and adults don't try this at home
Ummmmm pretty sure that's why he opened them first and then flushed them with water thoroughly then drained them so it's OK to go ahead and use metal cutting And welding's equipment and spark on it afterwards.

How do you clean it? A raised grating would take care of that

Why not let smoke from lower chamber into upper chamber and put vent on top so you don’t need wood chips? Seems silly to have a wood fired smoker that needs wood chips.
he's probably using hickory or such, and the smoke is cooler than the fire smoke. Why smoke your food with your burning wood, thats cooking not smoking.
