Ah yes!!! The beat that made Swizz Beatz and Drake beef lol. This at least the 2nd time that Busta has been involved in an argument over a Dilla beat! How many other producers you know that makes music so good it makes other artists mad at each other? Lol. DILLA = LEGENDARY!!!
@@elchoumas3489 The second argument that Busta was in the middle of was last year him and Swizz Beatz was on a podcast while Swizz's wife Alicia Keys was performing her Verzus. He had a few drinks. So Drake had came to Busta a few years back for some Dilla beats. And this was one of them. Drake used this beat for a song called "Stay Down". It was never released, so Busta put a verse on it to complete it to see if that could get it released. Well Drake didn't release it. Which Busta was cool with it. But SOMEONE from OVO leaked the song last year. Swizz was upset about it, in his drunken state went in on Drake for leaking it and not officially releasing the song so that Busta and Dilla's estate could get paid off of the royalties from the song. Busta of course tried to provide context and smooth it all over by explaining that it wasn't about him. He wasn't originally supposed to be on the record. It was about Drake wanting some Dilla beats. But the damage was done. The next day Swizz tried to squash it. It was too late. Chubb from OVO released a statement that basically said to Swizz to keep their name out of his mouth, don't speak to Drake or anyone else in OVO when he sees them and basically fuck'em. Apparently there are some behind the scenes issues that goes beyond that one song that set this off between Drake and Swizz Beatz. Crazy though!! Here's a link to that infamous podcast. @@elchoumas3489 The first conflict that Busta was involved in over a Dilla beat was a friendly argument that Busta and P Diddy had over the beat for a song called "The Ugliest" that featured B.I.G. that Dilla produced that was never released. Busta apparently didn't release the song because BIG's verse was dissing Tupac. Busta was cool with Pac, and didn't want to start anything with him, so he never released the song. But the story goes is that Busta and Diddy got into a pretty heated argument over the beat. The beat is so fire that Diddy wanted the beat for himself. Busta ultimately won out because he was Dilla's man. But apparently Puffy tried to get Dilla to head up The Hit Squad at Bad Boy, but Dilla stayed loyal to Ummah and Slum Village. (think about Dilla heading up that production team 🔥🔥🔥🔥) Here's a link to the song. What is even crazier is how Dilla was IMPRESSED WITH BIG!! @@nathanielhamilton5841 a "normal" hip hop beat is usually a 4 bar loop. Dilla sometimes uses weird loops like 3 bar loops, 7 bar loops etc
