    Thank You for video Peter! Maybe the comparison with JBL Flip or other (small) bluetooth speaker in the same category would be very interesting. I dont think the Sonos One, or Ikea speaker is the same category as Roam. Thank you and good luck.

    Hi Peter, a couple of questions from someone new to Sonos and trying to justify the purchase...
    Can you use the Sonos Roam's Bluetooth to connect to your laptop to play sounds from movies and youtube? Is this sound then 'shareable' to other speakers like the Bookshelf Symfonisk?
    Would the Sonos Roam sound good in my car (better than the standard car speakers)? Thanks!

    Thank you Peter! I'd say Play 1 sounded nicer balanced to me, I'll probably get a Roam black Friday, I currently have an Anker soundcore 2 that I use in the garage when I workout so this should be a good step up from that.

    My house is full of Sonos speakers. I was really impressed with the Symfonisk, actually. Good value. But can you take a walk with it? I like my Roam so much I bought another one. Anxious to hear the stereo pairing. Lessening the responsibility of each should help the accuracy too. I would think….

    thanks for the video peter. As always, love your reviews and loved this one too. I was waiting for your video before going into the line up for roam. Just one question, since it's bluetooth and also has a mic, Can I connect the roam to my laptop and use the it for my work calls?
    I would say technically "yes" but want to know from you?

    • @PeterPee
      @PeterPee  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, you can't do that. The mic is only for trueplay and for voice commands. The bluetooth doesn't have a AD2P profile implemented for voice calls.

    Good video Peter. But what i miss is that you would cut the three play sessions of Roam, Ikea and One in that way that you play the song just once but jump between the three speakers every 10seconds or so. I mean, you could do that when cutting three video together. It's much more difficult to compare the sound of all three the way you did it.

  • @speedRacer05

    I love my Sonos setup. That being said, they went a little too small. It says a lot when you say, If you want something that sounds better than your phone or tablet, this is great.. smh..
    As much as the sound is probably pretty good for a tiny speaker, as you mentioned, its value is how you can move it around and use Bluetooth. I really wish they would have made it, at least, to the level of my Soundcore speakers. I got two for that price and they sound great.
    Maybe this is their first attempt?

    • @Skywake
      @Skywake 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      "Better than your phone/tablet" is definitely a low bar to clear but it's also the use case for the Roam. Speaking for myself, I've pre-ordered one. For me it's not taking the place of a Sonos One, it's just a decent portable Bluetooth speaker that happens to Sonos compatible. If it's replacing anything it's replacing a combination of my old TDK Out-Loud CD Book speaker and me not bothering to unplug a Sonos One to move it outside.

  • @arcadelt5237

    Peter, did you decide where to place the advertisements in this video? If so, poor form as they came directly between speaker comparisons. That means every viewers ears were distracted from one speaker to the next when the ad played, making comparison that much harder.

    • @PeterPee
      @PeterPee  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most of the time I let TH-cam also place them. And I suspect they decide based on where there are breaks in the audio and thus they would be automatically placed between the songs with the pauses in between.
      Good feedback. Let me adjust them so that it doesn't distract!
