    @earthmover666 Thanks......as you can get corrosion between the O ring and the dust seal, my mate gave it a bit of maintenance while the tracks were off...a clean up and new O rings and dust seals

    Thanks for the demo. Got my track back . I had to take out the tension block out as the piston was stuck so I hit it with a hammer and it released. All back and working now thanks.

    nice one, the size 13 boot gets every thing to fit in to place lol, no top rollers guide plates handy, was the grease ram seals wore or did you just do them when you had the tracks off, 5*****

    Great video !! the rubber tracks are alot easier repair then the steel which is good if your working alone , myself i like the Takeuchi machines they are well built .
    i enjoy your videos , thanks for posting this Cheers !

    When you pump the track tensioner with grease you don't seem to go all the way, I myself pump them until the track is up against the bottom rollers. Just curious why you stop there? Am I doing it wrong? Thanks.

      +AkMoto You need some slack in the track as too much tension can cause stress to the drive shafts on the drive sprockets...it's just like if you run your alternator drive belt with no free play it buggers the bearings.

      +grizzly9871 I see what you're saying. Do you ever have problems with the digger throwing the track off? My situation is I'm a fitter for a plant hire company and our fleet of diggers is almost all Takeuchi 1.5 and 3 ton. Customers don't tend to take the same care as an owner/operator would. A typical example is breaking up a concrete yard with the rock hammer then driving all over the top of the uneven, jagged rubble, or tracking through thick, deep, sticky mud. I often see tracks that are in perfect condition coming off and get called out to re-fit them.

      +AkMoto Tracks in good condition with correct tension shouldn't be too much of a problem.....but then again you can't guard against operator abuse.

      +grizzly9871 True, and if it rains, the mud will take out the slack you have and make it even tighter.
