- We took a Jon Boat from the 1980s and turned it into a bass catching machine. We put modifications everywhere on this thing. We finally got it in the water and even landed a few fish. I hope you enjoy!

Nice!!!!
Should of used aluminum studs to turn it in to a bass boat, eliminate the wood weight, I am in the process of building one.. I tried wood and it took my mph down, with the aluminum it brought my mph back up ...
Looks like a Christmas decoration. But hey as long as it fishes…
Now i want to do this... i have access to a free jon boat. but not wood prices are out of this world! Only difference is i want to maybe do a small outboard on the back and throw a battery storage up front and a trolling motor. Probably have to fill the deck with foam and add another layer of plywood above that.
How bout "The Ambassador"?
nice work gentlemen
Been wonder’in what Randy Travis has been up too🎸
Should have put a 2.5 horse on it
Would have if we could have found a cheap one.
Great stuff boys!!! Boat looked awesome 👍
Looks great buddy 👍
Looks ready to go to Guntersville on a windy day!
Awesome build, keep up the great vids!!!
I had almost forgot about that boat. Looks good though. Nice video

Heavy Dink
Cool build, that's exactly what ima do after all this Corona crap is over, buy a used 1436 and make my own bass boat.💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
Luis Rosario be ready for a decent project lol. I'm working on one now that I started in January. Word to the wise don't yank the seats out like I did makes things more fun when you do lol
I've been waiting for this one
Nice build. As the trailer goes you can cut the back end down so it isn’t as long.
Looks good
Nice bro
SS Dinkie! That would be a fitting name. Lol! Y'all did a great job! Trying to talk my husband into doing that to our 14 ft. flat bottom.
Pond Princess but I also like the Sink Express
Keep up the good work now you need to put a 9.9 on it and boat name old red
The Pond Hopper
Nice video
bring it to our lake
So when are you going to do a give away on the jon boat, haha just kidding, you two did a pretty good job on the boat, doesn't look bad at all.
Lol. I think we may keep this one.
you should put some led light bars on the john boat
It is never too late

How much weight do you think you added in the conversion? Any tips for a similar build?.
Again thanks for the content during these trying times 👍
I would say 500 lbs or close to it. Now in retrospect that may not be that bad but I was legit worried about it. If you get a trailer make sure it is for a job boat. Outside of that it was pretty easy just time consuming
@@B_the_Cameraman thank you sir. I want to do a small conversion and still be able to load in the bed of a truck, possible?
You would be shocked how much wood weighs
@@B_the_Cameraman appreciate your input. Thanks great video
I agree Dink Express
What fairy wands are y'all using are they Stradic reels or something else

IT FLOATS
I feel your pain on the never ending project. I started mine back and January and I still have to finish my front frame build my rear frame and cast deck then fiberglass and paint all the wood. Carpet has to be done then all the rest will come next winter. But I ripped the seats out so I made way more work then I should have. But hopefully once the stay at home order is off in NC the cheap hooker will be done
Got to love a project like that. Lol
