There are cameras everywhere and he clearly doesnt wanna be seen crying, so he can't cry. He can't go to his mom for comfort, since she is the literal reason for his trauma. He has no friends there or family to get comfort from, just strangers he met 1 day ago, half of which are trying to fuck his mom.
I'd say getting drunk and going swimming to numb it all is one of the least bad things that he could've gone for, and actually seems fun and not harmful. Things couldve gone way worse in a situation like this where you have no one at all, and cant even find time to yourself.

For your info, if they are in their own convo it's fine. But when people switch to the other language while talking before too you it's not nice. I don't care about the Radio and all, I just wouldn't like it if I was involved to be excluded. I am half German half Indian, living in the most Immigrants populated state. There is no issue with that, but sadly I had interactions where people started to do that. It also don't help with integration, micro cultures are always developing quick if it's comfortable to speak your own language and the acceptance of it. Believe me we have places here where some people can't even speak German. So if you speak your language take that in mind. That's all
