this tierlist pretty much sums up my experience with over 100 hours as well. Flats has a big hulk bias so he places him low because of it. Flats biases shine throughout his tierlist tbh and he cant be trusted because of it.
Wolverine is low tier allegedly but a top Wolverine player destroyed Flats and he was forced to upgrade Wolvie by one tier Edit: Hulk is also allegedly low tier but the top players pick him alot after Strange and Thor. It's not even a matter of opinion, it's objective stats.
That's what I noticed with this game, No tierlists are the same and can be very drastic and different Except for Hela and dr strange's position, it just depends on the person
Literally, just hyperfocus whenever the Iron Fist is getting into your backline to save your healers/ranged DPS. He capitalizes on his enemies being unaware or way too separate. He almost always gets destroyed in Ranked when the enemy team has a SHRED of common sense to lock him down.
I think its not a low or high elo Problem. But more like, if team mates help each other out, then he becomes useless. I play with my brothers extremly casually. I dont really want to get good at the game, to just enjoy the rich artwork and satisfying gameplay. If a Magneto Shields you, a Mantis using her Sedate or Wolverine grabs him to toss him away, then Iron Fist becomes useless. Of course is it much more the case in high elo but i hope you get the point. The Problem is when you are singled out, then you have literaly no escape, wich i think makes him the only character i declare as really bad designed. Iron Fist is fun and flashy. But he straight up throws his own stats against other Heroes, and if its enough, then he kills, if not he dies. No other Melee Character just automaticaly homes into you, but has also way more Options then he has. Magic Limbo, Spiderman Swings, Panther Dash Resets and Wolverines grab are all skill expressive ways to keep them in melee Range and Iron Fist just runs into everything without any thought. Sry for the high amounts of yapping!!
i think cloak and dagger is underrated cause people lookover how fast they get their ult and also the fact that if used right its the most healing output in the game in that moment its sooooo good
@ yeah it’s just damn near impossible to communicate fast enough to your teammates to stop shooting so you have to just really make the timing tight so they don’t have to think that much
Plus combined with Moonknight, one of the most overpowered characters currently, they're unstoppable. I can solo any tank with moonknight while teamed with a cloak and dagger.
People don't switch between the two enough. Everyone I run into they stick to dagger and never switch to cloak. Cloak has great damage and can clean up kills easily. He also melts Spiderman and iron fist.
I one tricked Rocket to Plat 2. I'm not kidding, every match someone on my team begs me to switch to Mantis/Luna. I don't think people realize how good Rocket actually is. They sure don't hate on him when they're respawning at my becon. Honestly Rocket can do decent damage but his survivability is his bread and butter. With jetpack, wall crawl, and rocket boots from his becon. I regularly have games with 0 deaths because he is just amazing at escaping bad situations.
I want to love playing rocket because he is my favourite character but being a healbot and just playing the survive game feels so wrong. I want to blast people! And not a single ability has anything to do with explosions? It feels wrong having him as a healer character wise
That's impressive because his heals are trash compared to the other strategists. I think he's the funnest strategist honestly and has dive potential on the other supports and DPS because his gun is great up close but he absolutely CANNOT be the only strategist otherwise your team will be so behind on heals. I love the revive station but honestly he definitely needs some buffs, AT LEAST to healing. Obviously it doesn't have to be as good as the meta strategists but it needs to be decent man. But you're right, his escape options are fantastic and probably the second best in the game under Jeff.
The biggest issue with rocket is that if you can't maximize your healing you're just getting hard heal gapped. On some maps it's very hard for rocket to be competitive in heals which lets the enemy team just roll over your team (No mantis+luna ultis). I'm currently also P2 and I have yet to lose a game to a rocket purely because you can just roll them with coordinated damage.
@@FateBringsMe2UYup that’s my issue with rocket as well, you only really spam healing orbs and survive, but not much else. I really wish he had some more utility in his kit, especially since he’s a weapons specialist in the movies and comics
@Hidea98 Yeah I will agree if you don't have another healer Rocket can suffer. I think if they just buffed his healing slightly and make his jetpack omnidirectional then he would easily he one of if not the best healer currently
tbh i think luna snow is obviously less broken then hela but has a similar outcome when she isnt banned, if one team has her and the other doesnt thats basically just GG. her ult is so insanely out of balance that it just wins games outright.
I think my favorite thing about tier videos for rivals so far is that some picks are pretty consistent. But with Vanguards i feel like everyone has a different opinion on every tank EXCEPT Strange. (Naturally, the Son of Odin cares not for the doubters)
14:00 A half decent Mantis or Adam can and will consistently out-damage anyone not named Hella, Penni, Moonguy, Psy, or Hotguy. Simply just: 1. Turn monitor on 2. Put crosshair on red guy 3. Push button
Yeah, Iron Fist is terrible and I'm tired of Reddit asking for NERFS on him. The argument they always use is that "he shouldn't have auto aim" when in reality it doesn't matter because even if he hits everything he still has terrible damage/TTK and the enemy will always outheal his damage.
As a Storm main, I honestly wish her ult wasn't so good. All her power budget feels like it's been put into her ult and the rest of her kit just is a bit underwhelming. Like a good ult is so satisfying but it'd be nice to feel like you can contribute more consistently.
Other than the Magik placement I agree with your list. Most of the range characters have faster walk back speed than she has walk forward speed. Her dash has a 7 second cool down and is needed for her best combos because it is her launcher. However it is also her escape and her only way getting vertical. So if you use it in a combo she has to service for 7 long seconds before getting away while you stall for time with her teleports. She can front line with healing but has to be patient and camping health icons most of the match. She walks like a tank without the health to dive like one. Her combos are flashy but aren't all real as she doesn't have stun. Any character with air mobility can escape after being launched or just drift out of her sword combo canceling. She needs her moves refreshed to get her cancels. So that's one combo every 7 seconds in perfect conditions in the right team comp and steady healing. She is a good character and does require a specialist. However, I believe that she is comp dependent and should be one rank lower based on your logic. As you placed other characters lower for similar reasons.
The problem is that there is an abyssal gap between an average Magik from a good Magik, then another giant gap between a good Magik and a Outstanding Magik. The character plays like a fighting game character, the more you learn the more powerful she gets. From her perspective (Eskay) she sees only outstanding Magik players, people that do insane set ups and combos to outplay heroes. A regular hobby will just have Magiks that miss their dash and die in the middle of the enemy team trying to kill their supports.
I just feel like Storm and Rocket suffer from "bad numbers" syndrome. Like, Storm is suppose to be a DPS character, and yet it takes like... 4 or 5 left clicks to kill a squishy, on top of being insanely slow in the air. PLUS, unlike iron man, her left clicks aren't even AOE, so there is no "close enough". As for Rocket, I mean, it's not uncommon for me to have the lowest numbers despite the most assist. You will simply get more healing AND DPS out of literally every other support in the game.
Loki not being considered a specialist character is kinda wild imo. Good clone placement takes practice and to use him to his full potential (especially at higher ranks) you need to at least know how to play every other character at a basic level. Not exactly someone you can just flex to and perform on immediately.
I actually disagree here. I think that you can just spam the clones wherever as long as its not directly in front of their team and get tons of value holding left click on your team. You can also just perma copy a luna snow or mantis (who are in every lobby) and get high value out of your ult. Also, If you know what every heroes ultimate does, then you can copy anyone and insta pop ult
@ExtraEskay You're right about the clones in the sense that it *should* be easy to get value, at least on paper. In my experience it's depressingly rare though. Idk, I might just be jaded by all the Plat Lokis I've seen placing clones wherever and having no healing by end of game because the clones get destroyed instantly. Maybe it's better at higher ranks. I'll give you the ult point though. Luna and Mantis are common enough that you basically always have access to their ults, and it doesn't take a lot of technical skill to hit one key and dance for 12 seconds lol.
@@CulturedDegeneratei can personally vouch as a plat loki that I have been putting on work trying to learn clone placements for every map because getting clones destroyed immedietly just shuts down all of Loki's value. I find placing clones on walls on the opponents side of the map makes it so they have to turn arround and destroy them, high ground makes that even better. To annoy the enemy team even more you can use the runic healing after clones tank a few hits to heal the clones back up and make the enemies need to destroy the runes as well, though this does seem like a waste of the ability it was just an idea. I'm hoping to get to at least diamond and am excited to see more strats from loki players better than I
@@ExtraEskay i do wish that his ult was a menu circle instead of needing to thread the needle to copy the person you want, but aside from that 100% agree
i think this is in the context of good players. high elo players are very good at ult tracking, you wont hit them by surprise and get big team kills, most of the time jeff gets 1-2 people and gets killed by the rest of the team, meanwhile while he is setting that up your team is down a healer. also a lot of people willl just grab cloak and dagger into jeff and fully counter it if they want.
Why is iron man in always good tier if you said his main value source is the hulk team up and he gets countered by a lot of the best heroes? Am i missing something ? (Asking geniuenly)
hela is perma banned diamond + so dont have to worry about counter and hes solid even without the team up. He definitely struggles on some maps though!
In the chaos of ranked, I feel like venom is the only tank where I have the option to dive and divert the enemies backline (and survive, even if I'm CC'd) as well as peel for my backline since his mobility is so good. The trick is he doesn't output a lot of damage unless you land headshots which takes some getting used to
Psylocke is S+ in my opinion. Very strong left click on a stealth assassin. Then nobody plays around her ult correctly so she almost always gets good value out of it. Squirrel Girl is very underrated. Her base kit is very good and her ult I do agree is almost impossible to get value from it, but I like to just sometimes ult someone I rooted. Or on certain maps I’ll shoot my ult out into a room from a distance and snipe someone in the room with a root so they take the ult
That doesn't do anything for a tank if you're a non-threat, your job isn't staying alive, your job is to create space and protect your team. If you just run in, get chunked and flee, you're not a good tank you're just an ult battery for the enemy team. If you jump in as cap, run around getting shot and survive, you're literally just griefing.
I feel like his damage is augmented when he gets two melees in and starts throwing his shield. I don't have any issue killing supports or DPS. Maybe thats my rank showing though.
Hela being at the top of everyone's list is so real. I'm about to hit Platinum and it really is a case of who has the better Hela on their team. If you don't have one/yours is bad and they have one that is good, you just lose lmao. EDIT: It's also wild that she says she has no info on Hawkeye. She must have gotten to Diamond in like 10 games and then he got permabanned.
A Goated Tier List. After watching enough ranked games plus tournament streams from streamers. I've come to respect Star Lord. Really strong DPS. Plus I totally see why Adam Warlock is strong too. I actually see the guy get banned in a lot of games. Mainly to stop the team ups. What people don't realize in higher level lobbies, its mostly stacks fighting each other. Either 3 man or 4 man stacks going head to head. These stacks know what each other is good at. And which team ups they go for. These stacks call out the other players they are with and get them to play heroes that can team up with their picks. You have to ban certain team comps from happening. So yes Adam Warlock is actually a ban that happens frequently to stop the free rez on Star Lord and on Mantis who are both top tier picks. Target bans still happen but against stack vs stack, its team comps that get focused on to stop some OP team ups, but Hela is nearly always banned for her and her team up. You also see Iron Man bans at higher levels too because these stacks know the Iron Man and Hulk team up. And at those levels, the healers at those levels are goated. These healers literally will flank with their flanking DPS and stun or CC targets so their DPS can combo them down. They don't sit with the team and just heal. They actually act as disrupters and try to make plays for their DPS to get kills. Its freaking amazing watching these healers play Rivals. Team Ups that I see get banned the most. Hela and her rez with Thor and Loki. Because I see these team ups played if Hela isn't banned. Adam Warlock for his free rez for Star Lord and Mantis. Probably the Top team up in ranked right now. Iron Man and Hulk team up is also busted and if the stack knows the other stack has a nutty Iron Man, they ban Iron Man. Luna Snow with Namor is actually a strong team up and I see this often since most bans don't focus on them but Luna does get banned every now and then. And lastly Rocket Raccoon with Punisher or Bucky. Not often I see this combo but its still decent and Rocket and Punisher is a combo that isn't banned usually.
I earnestly think people just haven't figured cap out yet, I don't think he's "always good" but he might be "requires specialist" tier or "hard work". I only say this because his disruption game is crazy but he's also easy to shut down if people understand your cool downs.
Necros does not play Spidey in comp I don't get why people think he is a Spidey main, he plays psy and panth so much more now. If he locks it he dies twice and swaps
5:40 Thank you for finally giving Star-Lord the love he deserves. Other tier lists I’ve seen, he’s somewhere close to the bottom of C tier and they say he’s bad. He’s not S+ tier or anything, but he’s really good once you master him. In the right hands, he’s a monster and shreds through DPS and healers with ease. Can 1v1 a tank pretty effectively too. Easily my favorite character in the game and I’m usually top of the scoreboard with him in both QP and Comp
I think Jeff has more potential than people realize, but you need your team's buy-in and to use his abilities in ways that aren't completely obvious at first glance. Playing him exclusively around shoving people off the map with his ult is far from the fullest extent of his value imo.
They aren't nerfed yet so your point doesn't really make sense and Hela and strange are 100% gonna get nerfed too, probably more likely to get nerfed than psylock. Hawkeye needs a nerf to not be able to shot people like that though, so i agree
@@pleb8227 No, strange and Hela also are getting nerf 100%, Luna and Mantis also are getting nerf. the point Im getting at is that also this heros need nerf.
To be honest, having played Peni a good bit, she is surprisingly very good despite maps or objectives. She is definitely better on defence, but she works well for offence too. Magik definitely has a lot of potential. I really enjoy how she plays and I can agree she needs someone who has played her well to work very well.
As a Peni main, I think she's doing OK now but she is going to fall off super hard once people understand how bad she is if you focus the nest. It's not at all hard to kill the nest because it has to be placed centrally, protective terrain can be destroyed, and Peni has no mitigation abilities to protect it with. She fundamentally relies on people playing into her, and the more people learn to play around her the worse she's going to get because she struggles to be proactive. I would like to see them weaken the nest & redistribute power elsewhere, like making her regular webs a lot bigger so she can actually move around comfortably in them if the nest is down.
I was surprised to see bucky in "B" tier but, the reasoning makes sense. I was thinking more along the line of, what can a really good player get out of a character rather than what someone can do with them if they aren't a hardcore main and people who don't play him that often do tend to struggle with really good cooldown management and getting really good value out of his hook. Really good vid, I main psylock and learned a lot from you, and your content is fun to watch, keep it up!
Yeah, important to keep in mind that tier is not actually B tier, it’s like “really quite good but only under certain conditions (such as being a hardcore main)” -Derk
Great video and a honestly good tier list imo especially since your a really good player imo that is top 50 basically so it helps. Love the video and you end it perfectly imo as well, like you said at the end of the day play who you have fun the most cause its all about you having fun and the experience along with helps too. Amazing video and thank you for taking your time making, i learn watching your video myself as well, so you take care
Most of the time when I play iron fist, the team is either coordinated enough to immediately shit on me or a penny is their to counter me, but when theirs an enemy iron fist my team mostly lets them get away Scott free killing me or supports
I think the best part of Wanda is that her Ult can kill through Luna ult, I’ve encountered so many people who don’t realize it will(mostly lunas) and she can’t even cc you while you charge. Good luck not getting killed by the rest of the team tho :)
Rivals seems like a game that will be much more enjoyable when characters feel really stong each season. Obviously, outliers can be tweaked with numbers, but we're playing stupidly strong comic book characters. We should feel impactful. It's the same with fighting games for me, Id rather most characters be really strong and fun than hyper balanced. Plus adding and removing teamups to shift the meta sounds dope, another avenue to change characters. Great list! Game has been a blast, exceeded expectations for me.
It's kinda weird, but I think Rocket's heal is just out of place in his kit. I don't mind him being able to heal, but a slow bouncing orb that has to hit multiple teammates to get value? One that if you're firing it down into your team from a high ground will bounce off the ground and waste its travel time flying off into space? Rocket could 100% have a gameplan like Kiriko in Overwatch: Take an aggressive flanking high ground, pepper the enemy with damage or your team with heals and if someone comes to contest you, you've got the tools to get back to your team safely. He's crying out for solid single-target healing at medium-long range to support his flanking buddies or the tank that he's inexplicably in front of... but as it stands right now to get the most out of your heal you have to be on the low ground with 3-4 other people in front of you so that you can consistently hit more than one person at a time with your heals. That's not to mention his rez station, which is best hidden so the enemy team has a harder time destroying it, but dispenses armor packs that your team can't take advantage of if you hide it. It's all... kinda at odds with itself, isn't it?
@@__-fi6xg I dunno, I guess it's just weird to me that he's a character with so much of his kit emphasizing vertical mobility, but his heal actively punishes you for being on higher or lower ground than the people you're trying to heal. I don't think the heal itself is bad conceptually, it's just not on the right character.
@@kevingriffith6011 we have enough duelists, we need more support units and tanks. Lorewise you are right but gameplay wise, we just need more support or healers and tanks will gonna get bored quickly
@@__-fi6xg I think you misunderstood. I'm fine with rocket being a support (Although it is a bit strange), I just think the *specific heal he got* is a bad fit for a character with a rocket boost, glide and wall climb. It doesn't play nice with his great mobility since he wants to be up above his team. More often than not if you're up above then the shot will hit the ground and bounce helplessly into space. You can't really line your shot up with more than one teammate that way and you can't really take advantage of the bounce either. On top of that his healing numbers are balanced around healing more than one person per shot. That 60 hp/s just doesn't put a dent in the amount of damage that your teammates are going to take while screaming 'where heals'. He would be better with something that worked well from a high ground position, like a pinpoint single target heal or a splashy heal grenade... maybe a lock-on heal over time that allows him to shoot his gun more, which is what a lot of people probably want to do when they pick rocket anyway.
I don't really take issue with his healing, but he damage feels abysmal. I think he could have that kiriko playstyle of he was actually a kill threat himself.
With the title being "it's not what you think" and "oh my god she's so hot" about psylocke, I thought it was gonna be a tier list based on hotness lmao maybe for an eventual april fools lmao
i logged in for the first time, saw Psylocke, went to her skins, said AWOOOGA, bought it, played one game, and knew i was never gonna play anyone else. her kit is PERFECT. i have 42 hours on Psylocke and like 1.5 combined hours on everybody else so far lol
Keep in mind that higher skill players can also be biased to certain playstyles. Squirrel Girl for example is incredible, absolutely amazing at suppression and assists and capitalizing on chaos. Shes easy for new players to get kills with and would probably be even more ridiculous if higher skill players tried maining her. People keep comparing her to roadhog but imo she is the rocket Soldier from TF2. Excellent mobility, great splash damage. You favor being a ninja and being able to punish players by yourself, and maybe that just happens to be a bias of high skill players because it can allow you to carry? One thing you mentioned was that playing easy characters like Venom might break you out of bronze but then you are F'd. But this is true for any support. When I play Mantice I usually end up with more assists than both team's combined assists like 40 to 50+ per game, but I'm no good at dealing damage with Mantice. Despite not being great at any support, its still pushing me upward. But idk I just can't see how Squirrel Girl can be bad in high skill/rank games. From experience with other games, I've learned that Meta's often create belief and result in self-fulfilling prophecies almost. And it sort of creates that meme where theres the two extremes on either side of the meta saying the same thing, one with the total noob, and the other with the self-actualized wizard.
someone who actually points out the positives that Iron man does bring. He's actually pretty good DPS i just think the biggest problem is how easy of a target he is. I learned that the more i survive with him the better i can play. He also thrives in chaos. He's very similar to the Spy in Team Fortress 2 (who i also main) in which he's most effective when the team is providing a good distraction. If iron man wasn't such an easy target he'd be seen as a better hero. But when he's not being dealt with he's pretty solid. If i had to change him, i'd say give a bit more beam range and maybe a personal shield like in Avengers Infinity war so he can protect himself from ranged heroes.
Yeah i think he should get a armor buff/shield with his overdrive seems fair or a lil more HP. Doesn’t make sense how Punisher can be 275 as a guy with a gun but a man in full armor be 250.
Iron Fist main, I think hes good and has potentially but he really has a massive fall off once you hit platinum. He's great at hitting backlines and picking off healers but if he gets spotted he has to dip out practically immediately. His only real saving grace is his self heal since that lets him bait people and literally exist in a backline the entire game but even with it the amount of effort needed to get mileage out of him compared to Psylocke or Star Lord or even Panther is insane. 1v1 king but this is a team game lol
If it hits twice on someone it deals half their health. That combined with being one of the longest lasting longer range aoe ultimate abilities is pretty workable.
I also play Jeff, but Eskay puts out the message I agree with, and play who you enjoy! If it's Jeff, play Jeff. If you want to take the game very seriously and get to plat+, picking up other support heroes as you go will get you higher! Since Jeff is rated the worst, I plan on 1 tricking Jeff to see how far I can take him season 0 to learn as much as I can before I agree with the streamers that he is bad (I understand their explanations, but I feel like he has a higher skill ceiling on his base kit then some of the others, even if his ult is terrible) Either way, if you find other heroes you enjoy, play them and have a good time! Ranked is no different than quick play, except the matches last longer, and people get butthurt, but that is why we have a mute button! Enjoy yourself :)
Magik is my most played because she seemingly has an infinite skill ceiling when it comes to engaging and knowing what order or timing you use your cooldowns for combos. I also like not having to worry about my dog aim.
Why is Peni a specialist? I found her to be insanely good once you understand how to play her, and it doesn't take that long. She has great mobility, a stun, self heal/shield, she is a ranged hero with limitless ammo, plus her damage is amazing. And mines? Insane damage, bane of flankers, hero of chokepoints. I dunno, she seems really strong to me, and I've been doing great since I've learned how to play her. She is better suited for defence than attack, sure, but that's kinda it. And that problem is dealt with when you start learning her. At this point I can play her well on all maps in every scenario, it just takes a bit to learn when and how you need to place your generator and your webs. The only time I change to other tanks is when I really want to play Venom, or we need to push into super fortified positions and I need someone who is well suited for exactly that, like Strange.
I'm a gm peni and had to pick up other characters because if you're not playing against dive she's just a standing target that doesn't have a shield to protect their team, so useless compared to other tanks
shes strong, but shes also the last character I want someone flexing onto. She requires a specific playstyle, and you need a good bit of map knowledge for optimal mine and nest placement. Shes still SUPER good tho, in the right hands.
She’s situational, especially against poke compositions. She also has low sustain and no shield, so you need a good specialist to keep you alive and give you the time to set up. She’s a tank that has a lot of peaks and valleys, but struggles with consistency
She's a very reactive character and against people who know to play around her and eliminate the nest she really struggles. She's great at low ranks (where I am so no judgement lol) where people just walk onto her mines and die but she has so little ability to be proactive that she falls off hard as people get good
Captain America’s very underrated. Incredible mobility and survivability. Tanks very well by soaking up enemy attention. By comparison to other tanks he struggles to get kills though.
squirrel girl and jeff underrated lmao, harder in highe elo,but if played well, is amazing squirrel girl gets her ult faster then anything else in existence, and you just launch it to deny space or angles or a room.
Feels a little like she isn't thinking about map variety in terms of making character niche. Some characters like Star Lord or Iron man are great but can get farmed on really open maps where they're too easy to spot and hit. Doesn't make them worse characters just makes them not ALWAYS good
the fact that you have to look up to shoot them makes you vulnerable from other attacks in case of ironman, really depends, loki and cloak have a very easy way to dealing with him while luna will struggle more because her non existent selfheal makes her very vulnerable if attacked and you play solo with another healer that ignores you or doesnt exist.
Cloak and dagger is a very stong character that does not rely on a team up Dagger- her primary fire shoots a aura field that can heal not only one person but multiple that are within the area. Her healing wave can heal but also boost the healing to the targets it hits. That means more healing from the other healer as well. Her bubble can heal multiple people as well. Cloak- his primary fire is stronger then wanda's. So he is already has good dmg. His darkness wave can blind but also add a dmg amp onto the enemies to make them take more dmg. His shroud ability can literally protect a whole team if timed right. Ult- one strip does 220 healing per sec. So if you go over the same spot 3 times it stacks. So thats 660 healiing per sec plus if you have her bubble. You nor your teammates should ever die while standing in it. Dont ever downplay the king & queen 😤
Honestly I'm fine with one shots if it requires teamplay/communication/combinations. Hawkeye having a one tap I'm 5050 on because it does require a build up BUT that build up means nothing when you can cheese it thanks to the way third person games works in general.
I just can't figure out Mantis :( I just love Cloak & Dagger more), since nobody wants to play tank I've taken a liking to play Magneto and Dr. Strange they're easy to get used too as an old OW tank main, but I've also taken a liking to be in the back and help the team as a support with Daddyweaver in OW
Squirrel girl is really good imo I think the fact that her only bad ability is her ult is better then many characters who have a bad normal ability as that means you always have uptime. You don't have to play around ult that much. She has great damage and good mobility and can stun you 2 times in a row. So if you are playing with your backline you will be able to punish people diving you very easily. Plus she's thicc
I wanted to hate it, but I respect the Iron Man pic. Watched a lot of Kragie play Iron Man, and his tracking with the beam is crazy. Though I do think fighting against a coordinated team can really hurt his flank potential and have him shot out of the sky like he’s flying over the White House.
@@ExtraEskay Welp, time to one trick her to prove everyone wrong! Much like how others did with Storm, Iron Man or Hulk. (when I'm not playing support 80% of the time because I like the role, and DPS gets insta-picked most of the time) In a more serious note, I did wish her ult was a bit better. I just throw it out in a choke point for extra burst damage and that's it. The lockdown she has plus her high burst damage did help me win quite a few games though. I tend to play her in a similar to Namor, generally in the middle of the team throwing down shots down range and trying to snare flankers with her right-click. I feel their playstyles are a bit similar but Namor has the turrets and a better ult while Squirrel Girl has a snare and higher burst.
but it should stay that way because the support with the biggest damage potential in the game (and the resurrection ultimate) shouldn’t be really mobile
In high elo his main counters are perma banned (Hela, Hawkeye) a half decent Iron Man will just find an angle and destroy the enemy team. Other characters can deal with him but it requires a lot of work and failure by the Iron Man's healers.
I really like the idea of this teir list but i think the execution could use dome work. I would keep s+ and always good. Below that i would say "Always good but requires specialist" then in a separate teir i would say "niche" which could be for specific team ups or specific maps. Then i would say "Playable" then i wiuld say almost "never good"
I feel like a normal tierlist would be better with you just saying who needs an otp/specialist. Im a t500 hulk main and he's so strong but people don't play him for some reason. Once people learn the animation cancels he'll get way more play time.
the issue i am having with moon knight is spamming the enemy hypercharges support ult which are the strongest ults in the game and moon knight ult is very very bad, his oneshot ankh combo gets consistently ran away from with dashes or s in duels
Keep tabs on the jeff, be aware of their ult habits and whether or not they always run in before they ult. If you're playing someone with poor mobility options you'll need to pay more attention but otherwise good resource management with your tools will allow you to deal with gettung jeff'd

Moonknight is S tier easily. I went 5 games in a row with 40+ kos and zero deaths. I GUARENTEE he will be nerfed in the next major patch. His Ankh's plus his main attack reload speed is just too overpowered.

Impressive how every tier list is so widely different, aside from Hela, Strange and Mantis being the best characters.
Iron Man and Wolverine really goes around from top to bottom depending on person
@@malcovich_gamesdepends on if they’ve seen a Wolverine kidnap a tank or not lol
The fact that everyones tier lists are so different is a good sign that most characters are balanced and can work at all levels. Nice video
Probably more to do with people not yet understanding the game yet. A lot of information on heroes is obscured by the game
this tierlist pretty much sums up my experience with over 100 hours as well. Flats has a big hulk bias so he places him low because of it. Flats biases shine throughout his tierlist tbh and he cant be trusted because of it.
Most games have tier lists that are really weird when they first come out
Wolverine is low tier allegedly but a top Wolverine player destroyed Flats and he was forced to upgrade Wolvie by one tier
Edit: Hulk is also allegedly low tier but the top players pick him alot after Strange and Thor. It's not even a matter of opinion, it's objective stats.
That's what I noticed with this game, No tierlists are the same and can be very drastic and different Except for Hela and dr strange's position, it just depends on the person
Yup Iron Fist is a low elo problem but not a threat mid to high elo
I hear a angry samito in the background 😂
Sry for the high amounts of yapping!!

i think cloak and dagger is underrated cause people lookover how fast they get their ult and also the fact that if used right its the most healing output in the game in that moment its sooooo good
Yeah but nobody ever stands in their ult despite how good the healing is. Feels bad.
Also, cloaks cloak ability makes you and your teammates invincible to all damage including jeffs ult, as long as you do not shoot or reload

Ult duration is just crazy, going to need a hard nerf, it's so awful to feel like you literally can't play the game for 12 seconds
@@EvilMagnitude because you can't lol. she pretty much makes the entire enemy team invulnerable you just have to sit there watching her dance and shit

@akh-007 iron man is the only one there that actually can btw definitely not psylocke😅
I know she's trash tier but Scarlet can nuke Luna also.
I think my favorite thing about tier videos for rivals so far is that some picks are pretty consistent. But with Vanguards i feel like everyone has a different opinion on every tank EXCEPT Strange.
(Naturally, the Son of Odin cares not for the doubters)

A half decent Mantis or Adam can and will consistently out-damage anyone not named Hella, Penni, Moonguy, Psy, or Hotguy.
Simply just:
1. Turn monitor on
2. Put crosshair on red guy
3. Push button
Yeah, Iron Fist is terrible and I'm tired of Reddit asking for NERFS on him.
The argument they always use is that "he shouldn't have auto aim" when in reality it doesn't matter because even if he hits everything he still has terrible damage/TTK and the enemy will always outheal his damage.
psylocke is S because she’s a flexible assassin❌
psylocke is S because shes hot✅
As you placed other characters lower for similar reasons.
yeah this is probably the most accurate description of how magik works I've seen.
The problem
is that there is an abyssal gap between an average Magik from a good Magik, then another giant gap between a good Magik and a Outstanding Magik.

Very much agree with you, man.
I'd say this is my tekken experience as well, everyone is strong 90% of the time which is cool
In the chaos of ranked, I feel like venom is the only tank where I have the option to dive and divert the enemies backline (and survive, even if I'm CC'd) as well as peel for my backline since his mobility is so good. The trick is he doesn't output a lot of damage unless you land headshots which takes some getting used to
My issue with venom is that he feeds enemy ulti charge so hard. My most played tank by far because he's fun to play though.
@ Definitely, if the enemy has a luna snow (they always do) I can expect her to essentially have it every fight which sucks
yep he is the only tank aside strange that can headshot
Lovely list. Like your cartoon character in the corner. Cheers
I really like this comment. Cheers -Derk
I think Cap is very underrated. He has incredible mobility and survivability.
just need more damage
Im sorry but he literally doesn't do anything, you can be as mobile and tough as you want, if people can just ignore you and focus backline
@@australeo Yeah it feels like cap is a griefer's favorite character. I almost always ignore cap when hes jumping around like a goof on screen 😂
I don’t think Jeff is S tier but it’s easy to say you don’t get Jeff ulted ever when all you play is Psylocke. You have 2 dashes.
Also never gets Jeff ulted ij high ELO because nobody plays Jeff in high ranks, because he is sadly not that good.
I earnestly think people just haven't figured cap out yet, I don't think he's "always good" but he might be "requires specialist" tier or "hard work". I only say this because his disruption game is crazy but he's also easy to shut down if people understand your cool downs.
"After playing this hours of Psylocke..... She is so hot", I really feel that, thats me!! literelly!!! :3
Necros does not play Spidey in comp I don't get why people think he is a Spidey main, he plays psy and panth so much more now. If he locks it he dies twice and swaps

Thank you for finally giving Star-Lord the love he deserves.
Nah Psylocke and Hawkeye in Always good, delusional they 100% getting nerf.
They aren't nerfed yet so your point doesn't really make sense and Hela and strange are 100% gonna get nerfed too, probably more likely to get nerfed than psylock. Hawkeye needs a nerf to not be able to shot people like that though, so i agree

Most accurate tier list i've seen so far, well done
I would like to see them weaken the nest & redistribute power elsewhere, like making her regular webs a lot bigger so she can actually move around comfortably in them if the nest is down.
until you meet a Hela that can headshot and just melt you away.
Sure, Psylocke and Howkeye in the same tier as Iron man 🤦🏻

If that was the case, Hela woukd not be in S
Holy shit finally a tier list I can agree with!

It's all... kinda at odds with itself, isn't it?
depends on map, if your group splits a lot, he is bad but most low elo groups dont work well together and scatter a lot which is bad for every healer
Love the tier list and love your taste for synthwave.
Love the diversity of tierlists. Only the best tank, dps, healer are consensus.
As someone who has been playing mostly Hulk and Adam Warlock, this list vindicates my opinion
With the title being "it's not what you think" and "oh my god she's so hot" about psylocke, I thought it was gonna be a tier list based on hotness lmao
maybe for an eventual april fools lmao
i logged in for the first time, saw Psylocke, went to her skins, said AWOOOGA, bought it, played one game, and knew i was never gonna play anyone else. her kit is PERFECT. i have 42 hours on Psylocke and like 1.5 combined hours on everybody else so far lol
Starlord is my boyyyy!! I had no idea Id really love to play with him! Loki is my fav so far if i play support
someone who actually points out the positives that Iron man does bring.
Buff his survivability so he can play as a pseudo off-tank instead of being encouraged to sit back and spam. Don't buff his damage at all.
33:50 No theres no way to make her Ult work. I tried it so many times its literally just a damage barrier that BARELY does damage at best
If it hits twice on someone it deals half their health. That combined with being one of the longest lasting longer range aoe ultimate abilities is pretty workable.
Ok so i play jeff but i am scared or ranked with him who do u think i should play? Luna? I like her but i like his "healing factor"
I also play Jeff, but Eskay puts out the message I agree with, and play who you enjoy! If it's Jeff, play Jeff. If you want to take the game very seriously and get to plat+, picking up other support heroes as you go will get you higher!
Since Jeff is rated the worst, I plan on 1 tricking Jeff to see how far I can take him season 0 to learn as much as I can before I agree with the streamers that he is bad (I understand their explanations, but I feel like he has a higher skill ceiling on his base kit then some of the others, even if his ult is terrible)
Either way, if you find other heroes you enjoy, play them and have a good time!
Same. Except for on long range dash engage. Then the dog aim comes out to play.
Because one the enemy team understands her she can't do that much imo.
Cloak and dagger is a very stong character that does not rely on a team up
Dagger- her primary fire shoots a aura field that can heal not only one person but multiple that are within the area.
Dont ever downplay the king & queen 😤
you OTP psylock and you're making a tierlist kekw
Psylocke gets banned in like 90% of her games, she physically isn’t allowed to one trick and she still got Eternity. -Derk
@@ExtraEskay you have less then 1h playtime with other heroes …
@@syntom2518 that's just straight up not true lmao
@@trashcandy. what’s not true ?
I hope they balance some of the already good heroes by removing or adding team-ups, just to shake up the meta a little bit but not too much.
Honestly I'm fine with one shots if it requires teamplay/communication/combinations. Hawkeye having a one tap I'm 5050 on because it does require a build up BUT that build up means nothing when you can cheese it thanks to the way third person games works in general.
Who's a high ranking storm to watch? Everyone else says she's garbage/"she's good on a coordinated team" which I'm almost never playing with
hawkeye is actually S+ because of the seasonal buff
I just can't figure out Mantis :( I just love Cloak & Dagger more), since nobody wants to play tank I've taken a liking to play Magneto and Dr. Strange they're easy to get used too as an old OW tank main, but I've also taken a liking to be in the back and help the team as a support with Daddyweaver in OW
Hela is so strong the one time she didn't get banned they made a movie about it
so what im hearing is that its up to me to reach top 500 on squirrel girl?
Squirrel girl is really good imo
I think the fact that her only bad ability is her ult is better then many characters who have a bad normal ability as that means you always have uptime.
Though I do think fighting against a coordinated team can really hurt his flank potential and have him shot out of the sky like he’s flying over the White House.
squirrel girl is underrated crazy damage output
I rarely ever see people playing Namor. Quick play, conquest, and comp (at least down here in Silver/bronze).
You see him a shit ton in D1/GM+
Been playing him a lot and his kit is cool, I like the ult too
I just wish his turret cool downs reset on death
I’m gonna take Thor’s placement as a compliment, he feels top tier when I’m playing him
No
No Squirrel Girl my goat!
Squirrel Girlflop 😔-Derk
@ Squirrel GirlBOSS definitely needs a better ultimate, but in the mean time read Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, it’s so funny
I actually have been reading it because of this game! It’s been fun so far. -Derk
@ WE GOT ONE! 🎉 glad you like it :)
@@ExtraEskay Welp, time to one trick her to prove everyone wrong! Much like how others did with Storm, Iron Man or Hulk. (when I'm not playing support 80% of the time because I like the role, and DPS gets insta-picked most of the time)
In a more serious note, I did wish her ult was a bit better.
My thing with Adam is his lack of mobility
but it should stay that way because the support with the biggest damage potential in the game (and the resurrection ultimate) shouldn’t be really mobile
Iron man should be in "or team up" right? Cause you kept saying you need a good hulk
In high elo his main counters are perma banned (Hela, Hawkeye) a half decent Iron Man will just find an angle and destroy the enemy team. Other characters can deal with him but it requires a lot of work and failure by the Iron Man's healers.
I never knew Jeff was bad, he’s easy to play and harder to stay alive. I try to be the best support and top 3 Jeff players out there.
Sad day for a scarlet witch main
Scarlet witch S -Tier bro don't care what anyone says ong
She's good with Magneto because Magneto is a legit one man army, but without Magneto she's mid.
Eskay -derk
Holy shit
FINALLY someone says how much of a thermonuclear bomb Adam is.
Nerf hela for the love of all things holy
Ironically she just got buffed lol
How can you make a proper tier list if people only really play one character and not really learn other peoples kits.
Guys I think she likes Psylocke
the issue i am having with moon knight is spamming the enemy hypercharges support ult which are the strongest ults in the game and moon knight ult is very very bad, his oneshot ankh combo gets consistently ran away from with dashes or s in duels
ok but like
how do you counter jeff's ult?
Movement abilities are really good against it. But ass a whole you don't and can't. Honestly holding jeff ult is the scariest thing lol
Keep tabs on the jeff, be aware of their ult habits and whether or not they always run in before they ult. If you're playing someone with poor mobility options you'll need to pay more attention but otherwise good resource management with your tools will allow you to deal with gettung jeff'd
Movement and shield abilities. If you have a hulk, he shuts him down pretty easily.
Cloaks' cloak ability makes you invincible to jeffa ult as long as you do not shoot or reload
Peni's nest mines and regular mines instantly melt the shark if you get them to target you near it.
Nice list I agree
loki above cloak and dagger seems a little weird given that anyone who is not a loki specialist will not perform well.
your understanding of skill is far from diamond i feel like. Like...dont pop your immortality healing if youre just panic running away 1 second after
@@__-fi6xg this comment is a nothing burger...but ok.
@@llamaboss5169 ah its just random things i see when i play in casual mode. A rocket putting the revive device infront of the enemy team, stuff like that. Of course bad skill is gonna snowball...
@@__-fi6xg ye
Moonknight is S tier easily. I went 5 games in a row with 40+ kos and zero deaths. I GUARENTEE he will be nerfed in the next major patch. His Ankh's plus his main attack reload speed is just too overpowered.
If hawkeye is always banned its kinda proof he is a S tier hero since he is the only hero that can 1 tap 95 percent of the roster 😂
😂 I haven't spit out water in so long. when she said " you have to god" it took me out
love how everyone basically agrees that Mantis and Hela are S
I need you to make a tierlist... sorted by hotness, lol.
Really my favorite is having a 20 FPS because the game is made for a super computer
That end is so true. 😂
Hawkeye isn't that great, he just gives people PTSD
