Watch the sets before this with salem in the winners bracket, m2k vs otori is super crazy, and then this to top it off. I didn't know how much i would fall in love with fighting until this happened and i was watching it live, and i still haven't lost my love for it. A true classic i wish everyone could watch and see.

I never knew about competitive brawl when I was younger, but holy hell was this hype. M2K popping off, every hit in the last game was a DBZ, Keitaro's hype af commentary... this was beautiful.

I've never been too much of a fan of Brawl in terms of a spectator sport, but I have nothing but respect for how clutch and smart you have to be to play this game at such a level. I wish people got off Brawls back, its really not that bad :/
Damn, that last match...I swear M2K had it then Salem would have it then M2K again and just back and forth...wow. That was a very epic match and, imo, a better match than most Melee matches. And that's saying something

That tornado invulnerability and super fast long range sword slashes just make him that much untouchable. Congrats on Zero Suit Samus, skilled play indeed. Really got hyped in the last seconds.
What a sick player. I think one of the reasons Salem did so well was just because he had never won a tournament. Maybe some underestimated him in the beginning. Or they didn't know how to handle him because he was relatively new. Then again, such a great performance, winning Apex without even dropping a set.
This set made me cry, because the level of hype, player skill, and technicality in this tournament would never be seen again... Brawl was something else

Like M2K's completely alone at the end, packing his controller when the camera shifts to him. Also, that guy in the red shirt at 49:25 behind Salem waving his arms at M2K and shouting at him should have been banned from all future tournaments. Sure, it's hype, but you have to respect both players.
Mad props to both M2K and Salem. That was probably the best set of Brawl I've ever watched. M2K kept on going the whole way, and it was fantastic to watch him play so well. Salem was incredible with his moves, and his unique combos kept M2K on his toes from the start. Awesome stuff.
I got into smash competitively just after brawl. I know people give brawl alot of shit, but this was like the best set of any smash game ive ever seen wtf. I would love to play this now it was so cool
You don't have a soul if you don't get chills watching this. I hate to tell you Sakurai, but your series is naturally going to be the most competitive shit out there for all time. It's just the nature of the game mechanics.
No M2K is just playing Metaknight who everyone knows is the best champion in the game. Salem is basically Faker playing a t3 champion and fighting the best character in the game.
If there was thing I loved about the comment section of this video, is that there were no spoilers as to who won. Honestly, that could've been anyone's game in the end. Incredible.

SSB4 bans will help a lot, so we won't see everyone just picking meta knight because he is the most broken character in the game.
