I went to the store and wish I knew about the envelope method. I won’t have enough fabric, but I can make the zipper method work. Thank you! Great instructions!
Thank you so much. I have just made 2 of the second one. I lengthened my zips using your tutorial and I also made them Oxford style. I am super duper impressed with myself x
I REALLY like this pillow. It's so easy to make, your instructions are very clear and the end result is so beautiful. I've made two so far and will be making more. Thank you for this awesome tutorial.
I’ve made pillows with the hidden zipper and matching backing fabric. But I really like the accent fabric one you showed. I also like the binding around the edges
Method one seems like the front of the pillow. The flap makes it decorative! I plan on making a black and white cover with a sky blue flap. I have always tappered my corners to make the pillow look square. Even if you tapper the corners you can still add binding because they remain square in the corners. Depending on the pillow form it can make the pillows have dog ears hence the tappered method! Your form doesn't do it but only slightly. Thank you for these 2 methods. Excellent!
Thank you so much sharing for this video. I have not made one yet but hope to get started on it tomorrow. I am going to be using the same fabric front and back with same color zipper flap. I am also going to extend the zipper top and bottom. So looking forward to this project!
Would these methods work for making a pillow cover? I don't want to use a pillow form. I would like to stuff my pillow with filling. So, could I use the measurements of the panels I want to use as the pillow form measurements? Thank you for the help.
Are you using an invisible zipper? Also, would a separating zipper work just like a non-separating one as long as it was stitched higher up like you do in the first version? I am making a 30" square euro and am having a tough time finding an invisible zipper long enough for that so may need to use a jacket zipper. Thanks!
I am attempting to make a zippered pillow but my zipper is too short. Can you direct me to your tutorial to lengthen the zipper? There’s no link in the description. Mahalo

Your method is the easiest I've watched on TH-cam. Thank you so much! I have some special pillows I'm making & you have given me confidence.
I am so glad to hear that!!!! You can do it for sure! Happy Sewing :)
Beginner here! I own a Juki machine which is straight stitch only - is that okay? I can’t do a wide zig-zag stitch.
Thank you for such easy instructions. I made the first one and it came out beautiful. Great job.
Thank you! Just made my mom some pillows for her outdoor sofa using the 2nd method - she LOVES them. Also, this was my first project!
You did an excellent work explaining! Ty Ty
So glad to hear it Maria!
All three and loved your Covers

Trying #2, will skip the binding for now. Great video!

Hi Carol. I am using a normal zipper not invisible. You could also use zipper tape to get the custom length you are looking for. Hope that helps.
Would you say that this flap can be added if one wanted to go with an envelope closure v. zip?
Absolutely! I would just make sure the two sides overlap a bit more then in this tutorial.
