Don't dismiss the EOS RP! I upgraded from my M6, which I still have and it's in a different class! The 24-105 RF lens is phenomenal and it has built-in lens stabilization.
i have both and tend to pick up the 90d more for photography. i use the m6 mk ii mostly for video, sucks i have to change batteries every 3 hours though
EF to EF-M adapter work flawlessly though, its almost like they speak the same language (maybe they do?) You can get top notch auto focusing speed with the M6 Mk2 when paired with sport glass like the 70-200 f2.8 Its not like EF to RF adapter
Is it that bad from EF to RF mount? I own m50 and using ef to efm mount adapter but would like to shift to eos r or new upcoming camera sometime soon..i do have ef glasses .
The M6 Mark II does not come with the EVF. The 90D has an OVF. If you add the cost of a viewfinder to the M6, it costs more than 90D. Cameras like the 90D are not really made for vlogging on a stick. It is more of a tripod-mountedm cinema camera wannabe than a vlogging camera mounted on a stick. While the specs of these two cameras may seem similar, I think their use cases are worlds apart, at least when it comes to video. When it comes to photography, the 90D is the clear winner. The bigger body is better balanced, better frame rate, better battery life, and more. If I were Sigma, I would introduce those lenses for either the EF mount, or the RF mount. An EF mount lens would work seamlessly on all Canon cameras. A lens for the EF-M mount would only work on M series cameras. A lens for the RF mount only work on R Series bodies, but this seems to be where the future of Canon cameras is going.
I do use my 80D and m100 for my channel. First just as my studio cam. As I heard now the m6 does tempt to overheat after a while in 4K the 90 D is the one to bet on. This paired with Ehe sigma 18-35 f1,8 art lens looks really tempting 👍🏻 Thanks for The comparison 🙏🏻👍🏻
If looking to make a purchase for TH-cam vlogging and some sit down work and some stills work in the price range, do you feel the G9 is still superior or would you go with the 90d (or a6400) for someone who isn't sure they could take advantage of the gh5? Seems the two big advantages canon offers is AF and ability to go wide for cheap with the 10-18 lens, but the G9 has the edge otherwise? Thanks!
Looking to start TH-cam doing ASMR videos and I think the 90d will be the camera to start me off . What lens is a good lowlight wide angle lens ? Which is not that expensive to buy in the Canon line up ?
a lens with f2.8 aperture or lower (for instance f1.4 or f1.8) is usually decent for low-light, so you can do a lower ISO Setting without too much image noise
because they give the same quality i will go for m6 ii for these reasons : 1/size and weight 2/i can get the adapter and use m and efs lenses 3/i can get the speedbooster and enjoy the full frame look 4/the issues of M6 ii can easily dissolve with using a cage and get extra 2 batteries
90D all day!! In fact, I bought one. You got to have the lenses, by that I mean without any adapter nonsense. Plus, I am a stills guy anyway and I am not quite ready to go mirrorless. But, I do agree mirrorless is the future, wait for the R5 and beyond, that would be my next upgrade.
I miss having a DSLR to he totally honest. I had the Canon Rebel XT and T3. Yes they are heavy but comparison wise, the T3 was way lighter, and holding the T7i, they seem to keep getting lighter milligrams at a time. I love the battery life of them, especially since I can use the viewfinder over the screen to get my shots and really go full manual from behind the camera. As much as I love my M50; shes light and more portable, love that fully articulating touch screen for menu navigation. I really miss having that full grip body and oodles of battery life between just 2 batteries vs about half a days worth in 4.
Hey man I doubt you'll see this but I plan on getting a ef lens adapter if I do get the m6 mk2, but I plan on using it for a mix of everyday-ish photography but also to do car videos and film projects, so which would you recommend based on that?

I went to Best Buy yesterday with my old 70D and compared it to the 90D on display by taking a some non-flash test shots in the store and then downloading and comparing them at home. Granted, this wasn't a highly controlled scientific test, but I made sure to match all the camera settings as closely as I could. I put the 18-135mm Canon kit lens (not a bad lens, actually) on both cameras and matched focal length, distance, f-stops, focus points shutter speed and perspectives for all the test shots. My main interest is macro photography, so resolution is important to me. While there was somewhat more fine detail in most of the 90D shots, it certainly didn't blow me out of the water and it wasn't nearly what I'd expected from a 12mp bump in sensor resolution and 2+ generations of image processor evolution. I shot all the photos at ISO 640, which is about my maximum everyday setting with the 70D, and I noticed there was somewhat more noise in the 90D images. My verdict: More pixels don't necessary make for better results and 32.5mp(!) seems more like a selling point than a substantial improvement, at least for still photography. Great review .. but MAN .. your skin color is way better in 90D .... and i also notice the m50 color better than M6ii ... maybe both 90D and M50 color are better than M6ii !!
90d - simple choice. M lenses ecosystem is still in diapers. M6 overheats in 4k - probably due to its kid's toy size (sorry, did not intend to hurt M6 fans' feelings;)
It offends me that this EOS 90D exists. To say it weighs as much as a baby elephant it doesn't even offer a full frame censor and has a poxy optical viewfinder. If this was mirrorless it would have been a perfect replacement for the M6 Mk II. I love the flippy out screen but that's the only redeeming feature. its an inferior copy of the M6 Mk II imo.
With a cage to offset where microphone goes, M6 would be the better vlogging camera, because of size... if they bothered to make at least 1 good lens for that. The 11-22 is ideal in terms of focal range, but too slow. This camera needs something like the Samyang 12mm f/2.0, but with AF. It would be a killer combo.
I'd get the 90d

Canon is going to push out 24fps. For the 90d ,eos rp and other models. Later this year with a firmware update. They heard..
Так какой лучше?
It offends me that this EOS 90D exists. To say it weighs as much as a baby elephant it doesn't even offer a full frame censor and has a poxy optical viewfinder. If this was mirrorless it would have been a perfect replacement for the M6 Mk II. I love the flippy out screen but that's the only redeeming feature. its an inferior copy of the M6 Mk II imo.
Funny, but M50 has detailed 4K video than M6II... 90D's crop mode 4K is equal to M50. Rolling shutter is much better though
are you kidding? I've shot with M50 for a year, M6 Mark ii is way sharper in 4k.
@@alexsfca check it again!
@@orni1976 I have plenty of footage from both, M6ii is much sharper in 4k, no comparison
Canon just announced a firmware update that will install 24p. This is not a joke.
M6 Mark ii vs 6400
The M6 is big and ugly with the added EVF on top.
At $1200 just get an EOS RP or Fuji.
GOPRO HERO 8 REVIEW!
When those EFM lenses come out I think the canon mirrorless line will get much more intriguing 👍
Momchil Yordanov Mount my mic on offset flash mount, no need for cage unless you have large hands.
90d has ocf
Sigma lenses are out
You don't love Sony any more?

3rd response 🤣
No 24 fps is a joke.
My 6 year old t5i can do that.
Why are you so fascinated by only Canon ?
