I bought the ZFC in 2023 after already owning the a7IV, and I must say for the best possible results I still go to the Sony, but for leisure and fun and street, the zfc is goooood, I just wish that it had ibis.

I don't understand some peoples lensomania. It has 3 native DX lenses, a lot of FX lenses, and with FTZ all nikon F mount lenses. What else you need? Do you lens collectioner, or photographer after all? I am absolutely sure, that you can make 99 percent of your work with just two lenses - 28mm and 50mm, unless you are specializing in anything else (wildlife, interior or architecture)

The camera is being marketed toward social media influencers & vloggers, but the camera does not have the types of lenses that those customers typically buy
@@thornshootsfilm Where is that marketing? It's a repackaged Z50 with aluminum dials, magnesium body, and better AF system, and the sensor from the D500 yet with higher FPS. It's a capable camera for photography.
I have five Nikon camera rigs from 1965 Photomatic F to D5500 and recent Zfc rig the includes bag and 2 zoom lens - 28 and 70 zooms. My first mirrorless camera and I am starting to like it for smooth shutter and flexibility. Will shoot subjects with those for comparison and see how it fares against others. Great vlog you did!

I had Fujifilms XT30 and XT5 (played with XT4) among many other cameras. The Z fc is comparable to the build quality of fuji, better than XT30 and not as good as XT5, but the images are better on Z fc. No AA filter, sharp Nikon lenses, and the 20mp nikon sensor can go to higher ISO better performance than the fuji 26mp or 40 mp sensors. I think if reviewers see the Nikon 20mp crop sensor cameras without bias of price point and other factors, and focus only on image quality, they will see the Nikons have the best APSC sensor size image quality. I bet anyone to prove me otherwise.
But would still miss Fuji film sims and recipes

What about AF, it gets mixed reviews.
This is underneath a Nikon Z50 made for hipsters. Therefore added a flip screen and choice of funky colours. But does the job. An excellent choice for blogging would be Fujifilm SX20 just a little more expensive but worth it..😊

I prefer buying FF lenses for apsc cameras. That way the lenses move with you when upgrading to FF later.
Caution! I recently downloaded firmware for the Zfc from Nikon. When I hit the upload, the camera shut itself down and would not restart. Nikon support told me it would have to be sent to a service center. I mailed it, at my expense. After a week, I got an estimate for repair. Almost $ 300.00. This camera was just over one year old, purchased directly from Nikon and had less than 1,000 actuations. The camera worked perfectly until I tried to upload the firmware. Note - I own over two dozen Nikon cameras including four Z series and I am very familiar with the update procedure. Has anyone else had this problem?

As someone who used to be a professional photographer (stopped around 10 years ago), what compact camera would you recommend? Looking for something easy and fun but which provides decent quality images (better ones than the kids phones can capture 😂)
I’d recommend a Ricoh GRIII or a Fujifilm X100V
X100V with fixed lens is very limiting. The Nikon Z fc with the 26mm f2.8 is a compact and capable system.

Yes. I have both cameras and the Zfc has more features, such as a lot more focus points.

Een XT-4 is wel een stapje beter hoor! Maar ook met een ander prijskaartje. Volgende video hopen op beter weer, haha! 😃👊

It's kind of like buying a Canon M50. Good camera, but there are almost no lenses for it. And it's unlikely they will be releasing a lot new lenses either. Last time I checked there were literally 2 aps-c lenses. You could get the FF lenses like that 28, but you can only get 1 wider lens (viltrox 23mm) for under a thousand euro's. So be prepared to buy huge, heavy and expensive FF glass or chinese manual lenses like 7 artisans if you want some semi-wide primes. Or get the 16-50, I suppose. Luckily there's always Fuji for people looking for a retro camera.

Viltrox and Voigtlander are already starting to roll put the fast DX APSC lenses for the Zfc. Good things are coming. Stay patient.
Nikon is about to bring a DX 24mm and a DX 12-28, so that's something.
Nikon z fc vs Fujifilm x-e4..?? Your opinion...
X-E4 would be my pick, unless you really want the flip out screen.. But Fujifilm has better built quality and image quality (from what I’ve seen)

@@NielsdeKemp Why does everyone say this? I've literally heard all the influencers/youtubers say Fujifilm has better quality in build and images. I bought into that hype and bought Fujifilm gear and later sold it. The quality was not very good, lots of plastic/rattling, and flimsy feeling dials/buttons, and the image quality was not any better, if anything the Nikon crop sensor 20mp still had better dynamic range and low light/high iso capability. Don't believe me? Look at dpreview comparison studio tool. I now have the Z fc and put the quality on par with XT4. And both the Zfc and XT4 are not as good as Z6/Z7+ or Canon R6+ cameras, but to say the Fuji is better build and image quality is just fanboy and deceiving. Also, what does "digital looking" images even mean when you reviewed the Z fc?

Great video. It was a nice camera. Is that great for professional family photos? I know this is great for traveling.
I think for actual professional work it’s not good enough… Nu dual card slots, quality is decent but not great (low light, dynamic range) So it’s a fun, good camera, but not for professional work in my opinion…
