I don't mean to front but you gotta work on your sequencing game. That melody gets really annoying after the 10th run. Maybe do 3 different melodies that change every once in a while. Melodies that are a little less all over the place, with notes not as densely placed. So theres more space in between for the delay. Just my two cents. I dig your videos a lot otherwise :)
I haven't really found a good balance. When I use a completely static sequence, people complain that it's boring. If I use a random sequence, they complain that it's too random. If I vary the sequences between modules then the comparison is harder to make (the goal being to hear exactly the same input through multiple outputs). I've been mostly using the Stochastic IG because it stays within a limited set of notes, but still provides variety. I'll keep working on trying to split this particular baby....
This is a challenge to please everyone. Might I suggest creating 4 simple sequences between 8 and 32 steps and then play those 4 intermittently. Some could have fast repeated notes and some with longer sustained notes. That said, I don't mind the random as much others. Great videos, invaluable to the community!
I have SIG as well (amazing module), may I suggest adding a low probability of pauses? This will help the ear. You also may have too many different notes in your pattern. Very interesting comparison though, thanks for the video!
just the demo i was looking for
Not sure what's wrong with people - didn't you get into modular to make sequences like this? Love it!
awesome choice of evolving synth line to demo these 3 Professor..
Absolutely great initiative 🙏🏻 fantastic.
I’ve lately had explored electus as it is clockable
Thanks for the mention at 0:03!
straight to the vain video!!!
Nice. It's weird how because i didnt liked the sequence of note its hard to make my mind up lol
Same here. I just can’t listen to this randomness.
