I wish you would have shown the second row movement with car seats in them or lack of. We have 5 kids, some in car seats. Showing how the passengers get into the third row when car seats are in the middle row would have been helpful.
Thanks for watching. With five kids, I would situate the kid who doesn’t need a car seat in the single folding seat of the second row (the “40” of the 60/40 split) and leave the car seats in larger portion of second row. That would allow access to the third row without having to move car seats around. The third row is better for backless booster seats than full car seats.
In terms of sliding the second row forward and back, that is doable without having to remove the car seats. The manual slide lever is located beneath both sides of the second row.
unpopular opinion - captain chairs in the 6 seater aren't any good anyway without arm rests. My vote is 5 or 7 seats on this model
That’s interesting. I guess they haven’t changed anything since the previous generation as far as the second row of the six seater Model X.
Drove a 6 seater this week. My 16 year old in the middle said exactly that. My 10 year old on third row loved it - better than our highlander he says.
as a 6 seater owner I agree, i sat on the second row just a handful times, not comfortable at all due to lack of armrest in the middle. luckily now we just put 2 car seats on the second row, my next X will be either a 5 or 7 seater.
Cheers, I keep seeing vids and pics of the 5 or 6 seater. Didn't realise the 7 seater has more traditional style seats that fold flat. This is exactly what I want though for storage space, sweet! I have a 7 person family, so the Y isn't an option.
I thought the Y also has the 7-seater option

Tesla doesn't have very good 3rd row options...
the third row is not for adult seating,,,even my son 13 yo (6ft) now cannot sit there LoL!!
The third row of many SUVs isn't for adult seating. True third row comfort comes from a minivan and unfortunately, there isn't a viable EV van yet.

No cargo space what so ever
Not sure how much cargo space you need, but it fits a lot of stuff, especially with the third row folded down.
