Why not? Only one artist will not destroy the magic. Imagine a big country (the US) and only one voice! It would increase the interest immensely. Good for European artists to expose themselves for the US market. The ESC is not about winning, it is about having fun and exposing for different cultures, and (good) laughing at each other.

Every country who is full member of and pays to EBU is allowed to participate. Iraq, Jordan, Syria and all north Africa countries are allowed to participate. The US could be invited as a guest, in the same way as Australia. In a long term, this can "destroy" the contest, for ex if the whole Africa is allowed. Some guest participation would be fine.

How ironic that Eurovision is being finally shown here in the States this year yet it was on an obscure channel and no advertising about it. Even worse, Eurovision is blocked for the first time in the United States on TH-cam this year.

America would win for it's experience in show biz and the finances that US is able to waste on eurovision... the reason why eurovision songs aren't yet pop hits is because it's done from the singers own budget if they have noone to support them, so they can't do amazing performances like JT did and they usually don't have a crew to help with song writing, 'cause there is no gain in winning eurovision and even so, the singers are developing every year and its getting better and better even with the short money that hey have.
The connection between Timberlake and Sweden was, that the producers of his new song were swedisch. The Performance was great. It was something new, that an international performs at the ESC-Final. But i dont think that they will repeat it in the Ukraine. next year
