I really shouldn't have to say this but don't go harassing the non-human video game flattenings wiki people. super super not cool to do, just let them live their life enjoying cartoonish flattenings please.
Hello, I see you have survived the rabbit hole that I have made, and I'll be honest.... That bit was pretty damn funny. Understandable because, if I found something I thought was weird and just plain out there, I too would be really "wtf." Only had to repair a little bit of vandalism (At least for now). Funny vid btw, fun to see a random game like Zapper getting some spotlight.
Fun fact: Zapper was actually supposed to be a sequel to Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge (which was also developed by Blitz Games) but Konami chose to do the infamous Frogger: The Great Quest instead.
Bruh I spent waaaay too many hours on frogger 2. Hard to say that it was good per se, but childhood me bashed my head into some of the dumb stuff that game threw at you
The shot through the cloaca really got me xD I'm still sitting here in shock genuinely thinking a lot about that. Why did this game feel the need to make an animation going through the bird and out of its asshole... what the fuck
the ending haunted me. i remembered it abruptly and it wouldnt leave me alone. the mouth-to-cloaca shot literally magnetized to my brain. the devs of this game just did whatever they wanted i think
Interesting story about this game, not sure if it’s officially confirmed but it makes sense: it was first pitched as the third leg of a Frogger trilogy after the two Frogger games on the PS1, but Konami rejected the idea, so Blitz made it on their own with an original character. The game Konami went with instead was “Frogger: The Great Quest,” which ended up a total failure, so… joke’s on them, I guess.
Please for the love of god never use the phrases "third leg" and "Frogger" in the same sentence ever again, I skimmed across this comment before I actually read the whole thing and the resulting mental image damn near killed me.
Ironically enough, I first learned about this game from the non-human video game flattening wiki. I actually had to go lie down for a moment when it was brought up because I never expected someone to ever stumble upon it by accident and hearing the name of the wiki mentioned aloud by another person put me in a fight or flight mode for a good 30 minutes.
Grayfruit proves again and again why he’s my favorite content creator, no one in my life knows or has seen the Russian homunculus videos, yet grayfruit and lark bring the quality deepcuts, things I don’t remember I remember, and he’s local
The size of the squirrels and so many other aspects of this game make so much more sense when the protagonist is framed as something the size of, I don't know, a frog? Stepping on eggs, maybe the electricity power was even a tongue lash? Watching this with that context is just so interesting to me. That is, except the monkey. Why is the monkey so smol?
I owned a copy of this game on every platform it released on. i never personally bought it. I think i played through the first level on each one. Very excited to hear someone else has played it too. I thought I’d never hear about it again
Damn. I was actually listening to the OST for this at work only just 4 days ago... Honestly didn't think anyone else knew about this game except my brothers and I back in the day lol. I should go play the lottery.
Holy shit, I played this game when I was super young and I have literally never heard of it again until this exact moment. I didn't even remember the name so I couldn't even verify if it was real or if it was something I imagined. This video is like an archeological dig of my childhood.
aw yeah, can't wait for them to play the final level where you have to climb up the same stair case that slowly builds itself literally 5 different times
"It's like a Frogger rip off?" Noooooo, it's a Frogger Reskin, essentially. Most accurately, it's the studio doing what they know with their own IP and it's so charming.
DUDE I have been trying to find this game FOREVER. Thank you for pulling it from the recesses of my mind. BTW: Maybe I'm biased but the music in this game SLAPS.
how does this guy manage to play every game i played as a kid and thought for SURE no-one else played. If this guy uploads a video of Croc im gonna lose my shit
It’s uncanny that I had only thought of this game for the first time in years the other day, and here you are with a video. That you spent a great deal of time editing. It’s strange how close it aligned
Didnt realize this channel was gonna bring back a horrible memory from when I was a little kid I ran into that Russian dude with the humunculi and now the damn videos haunt my dreams now and again.
I played so much fucking zapper on the ps2 when I was a kid and forgot about it until 13 years later when y’all released this, I was taken back in time with explosive force my brain is reeling 😭 I always thought the secret platforms were akin to the toy story 2 scene with Buzz as well, it’s so funny to have my brain picked by two dudes just fuckin around on an old ass game. Good stuff as always lads 💕
update to my previous comment: i downloaded this game and played it and now whenever i see a cricket i am filled with a violent rage. i did not enjoy my Zapper: One Wicked Cricket experience
You have awakened some ancient memories long since forgotten in me. I PLAYED THE SHIT OUT IF THIS GAME WHEN I WAS A WEE LAD. I remember I sucked ass at it though, and probably never made it very far.
Oh man, this game I had this on Xbox and it gave me nightmares when I was a child. I remember selling it to a used game store soon after. I kinda hate that I'm feeling nostalgia for this game just from this video. Thanks for bringing these nightmares back, boys :)
The scenario with this game and Rollercoaster Tycoon being at his Grandma’s is almost the exact same situation as me. My cousin had games at my grandparents which included Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, and Zapper, and I played this game so often when I’d come over. Did you also grow up watching Elmo in Grouchland?
I had a disc of this as a child, and after it got lost and I couldn't remember the name, I spent years trying to prove it existed. I had pretty much the same experience as Lark but with 10+ years of mandela effect added in.
Blitz Games used to make the modern Frogger games back in the GCN Era and Zapper was originally going to be a Frogger game, hence the similar gameplay.
This game keeps randomly coming back into my head, after playing it to death as a little kid. I now find that Grayfruit played it, and I just think it's amazing that there IS people who know about this strange but fun game.
I legit think ive watched it like a thousand times its such a comfort video and i can recite iconic lines from it like its a cult classic movie Until recently i thought this video had like 1 mil views thats how entertaining this video is to me
NO FRICKING WAY THAT DEEP CUT TO THE BUZZ LIGHTYEAR THING REMINDS ME OF WHEN I PLAYED A TOY STORY GAME THAT HAS A WHOLE CAMPAIGN WITH BUZZ FIGHTING ZURG AND THAT GAME WAS MY FAVORITE GAME EVER

I remeber this game from my youth. One of my earliest memories was playing this but I never knew the name. For years I thought about it off and on and then Grayfruit just decides to casually drop this vid on me!
So sad I can't add that weird acid homunculus thing to the Non-Human Video Game Flattenings Wiki. They'd feature that shit so fast, it'd be the best article ever.

its being vandalized as we speak unfortunately....
while it is currently vandalized i wanna note that the mario kart wii page currently has several words changed to end with -ario
@@Jonloo1 that's hilarious

I wish I may, I wish I must-
Konami decided to go for “A STINKY BIGGIE!”
Blitz games also made one of my childhood games, Creature from the Krusty Krab
It was for the best.
that camera shot that goes from mouth to ass is the greatest bit of cinematography I have ever seen. Truly the pinnacle of kino.
and then they follow it up with the transition shot from behind bars to the TV, cinematic MASTAPIECE
this sounds so fucked out of context
Pure Kino
My man literally went through the entire quest not to get his brother back, but his TV ANTENNA
0 character development I can't believe it
When Grayfruit uploads a _video_ about a game I played as a _child_ FEATURING _Lark,_ I undergo nuclear fusion.
Bonus points if it's EDITED BY LARK WHAT
As soon as I saw the notification I said LET'S GOOOOOOOOO
The shot through the cloaca really got me xD I'm still sitting here in shock genuinely thinking a lot about that. Why did this game feel the need to make an animation going through the bird and out of its asshole... what the fuck
Immediately knowing when something is edited by lark is just great
Its a great sensation when the realization hits
I hovered the video because I wasn't too sure if I wanted to watch it and then when the preview started I immediately knew it was lark editing
i wasn't even looking at my screen and immediately knew
It’s visceral.
the ending haunted me. i remembered it abruptly and it wouldnt leave me alone. the mouth-to-cloaca shot literally magnetized to my brain. the devs of this game just did whatever they wanted i think
Everyone in this game is constantly grooving and I’m down for it
This channel is slowly turning into a duo channel
And I’m honestly okay with it
Grayflark
Finally we're getting to the 3rd act in the graylark universe
Grarkfruit
Larkfruit
Grayfruit's reaction to that undescribable ending cutscene shot was the best thing i've seen in a while

I honestly see a lot of similarities between this and Frogger: Ancient Shadow. The movement animation feels so similar
Please for the love of god never use the phrases "third leg" and "Frogger" in the same sentence ever again, I skimmed across this comment before I actually read the whole thing and the resulting mental image damn near killed me.
Zapper has frickin' Mortal Kombat-esque death animations AND disturbing amounts of dark humour.
Rated E for Everyone, my ass.

6:34 god strikes down from heavens to stop Lark's thought process
never even heard of this game before
edit: GODDAMN what the fuck is that ending cutscene, that's an absolutely insano style shot, like wtf
hope they get banned for showing bird asshole on youtube
dude that did go insaneo style
Tarantino level shit
The last cutscene is straight up the opening of uncut gems but reversed
The final bonus stage in this game (which you unlock when you 100% regular stages) was fucking brutal
the human video game flattening part feels like i walked into Lark actually physically reading the homily in an irl church.

Zapper murdered the intro cutscene. Violently. It didn't just disappear: the game was protecting them from witnessing the crime scene.

10:05 holy shit. Lark's impression of Jerma is fucking amazing
I’m fairly sure that the beatboxing is edited in
if you mean the beatbox, I think it's actually sampled from Jerma
No its lark doing an impression
see, zapper gets flattened in the beginning. get it? he gets flattened! under the shoe! flattened! flattened! flattened! flattened! flattened!
I never thought I'd see a gameplay of this so semi-recently, this was my jam back in the day. Great video!
