can you do the same thing but in reverse from grand central madison to the main grand central but take the elevator instead of the long 1 min and 30 sec escalators

Yes, that is an option. I did a short on taking the elevator down to the LIRR mezzanine from the LIRR concourse bypassing the escalators a little while back. Yup much quicker. Thanks for watching and commenting
