Today I am wearing Histoires de Parfum Tuberose 03 Animale, and I don’t care if I’m wearing crappy clothes or not (I mean, I definitely am- just bumming around 😆) because I love the smell! When I saw this video pop up I had to watch because it is my scent of the day! I got a bunch of tuberose samples from someone on eBay and I bought a big bottle of that HdP one and also more recently found an affordable bottle of Serge Lutens L’inommable, which is so sweet it smells more like pancake syrup than flowers, but I guess it is tuberose, too, which I read in the reviews, and I love it so, so much. One of the other Histoires de Parfum Tuberose samples in my set- there was 01, 02 , 03 and another one named for a year, did indeed smell classically manly, and super classy, but I can’t remember which one I’ll have to check, so it’s definitely not a woman’s only flower. I’ve only tried those few to compare but I think I love tuberose when it’s very sticky sweet (as a woman) like in my Animale and Lutens. I just bought Miller Harris Noix de tubeurose which is supposed to be “bubblegummy” tuberose so I can’t wait to see what it smells like and compare. I’d love to be able to grow the flowers, I think it’s too cold in zone 5- I’ll have to look that up now. LOVE tuberose! Carnal Flower is a fav when it’s warm out. My father is a florist so I’m very fond of..& very picky with floral fragrances 🤍 tuberose is challenging to pull off without it being too heady or obvious in a boring way. I grew up in Encinitas California (San Diego) 1 mile from the beach, so the way you described it made so much sense to me! Thank you 🙏🏽

I thought I disliked this note until I sampled Tauer's Sotto La Luna Tuberose. It's a lightly spiced tuberose that really captured my attention. Well worth seeking out--it's lovely.
Tuberose is my ALL-TIME favorite note. I love big bold buttery tuberose. My favorite is Le Labo Lys 41. I also love Estee Lauder Tuberose Gardenia & Armani Privee Rouge Malachite. I’m waiting for my sample of Nasommato Narcotic V from Luckyscent I’m hoping it blows my mind.

I just got Dangerous Complicity from Etat Libre D'Orange which has a noticeable tuberose note and it's great! It's the only fragrance I have with that note in it but I love it.

I’m actually surprised LV’s Turbulence is not here. To me, it can virtually stay next to FM’s Carnal Flower (LV as, perhaps, an older, and more proper sister) which says a lot... I started my Tuberose scent with Carnal Flower, so the bar for the next Tuberose scent is pretty high up there!

Throws me you didn't use the attributive 'coconut-y' or 'bubblegum-y'. Those are frequent associates. I love bubblegum tuberose. Black Orchid and Tank Battle by Lush are perfect for the beginners. Great observation, neroli + tuberose and patchouli + tuberose always work wonderful together.
You must be in NoCal bc we definitely lay out on the beach in SoCal . Diptyque Do San is Maui Hawaii in a bottle. It’s the way the air smells at the flower market … so beautiful
Not a fan of tuberose. But a fan of your videos. If I have to choose, Nasomatto is where it's at for me: the most realistic tuberose note I've ever smelt, better than Lys41 and Carnal Flower. Gourmand notes like dark chocolate, creamy vanilla, tobacco and liquors do it for me.
Kiss My Name by Ramon Monegal, Tubereuse 3 Animale by Histoires de Parfums and Tubereuse Couture 17 by Pierre Guillaume are my favourites. They cover different factions of tuberose fragrances. Kiss My Name is an incredibly powerful, balsamic and true to life fragrance, Animale is a warm, comforting and spicy take on the flower, and Tubereuse Couture is this super bright, sweet and zingy bubblegum take on the flower.
I do love tuberose but for some weird reason I don’t like gardenia. So Chanel Gardénia and Melodie de L’Amour are fragrances I don’t appreciate.. Have you tried Chinatown by Bond #9? Tuberose and 5-spice.
It's a note I kinda am trying to understand more. So far I really liked one tuberose scent which is kiss my name by Ramon Monegal. The quality and the DNA is quite impressive. Also have you ever noticed that most of all Jeroboam frags have musk in them. I think it's a style they did intentionally. What u think?

I tried decants of all the feminine parfums de marly. The opening of sedbury is a little odd to me I think it’s the lavender and sage that put me off. About 20 minutes in, it becomes one of the nicest Tuberose fragrances. It’s beautiful. It’s not screechy like in Fracas. It’s very elegant. For the money the projection and lasting power could be a little better. But I do enjoy it. I would pickup a decant.

I remember Demi Rawling said she didn’t like it because it smelled “too old” that didn’t steer me away though cuz honestly I don’t know what that means, does she mean it smells vintage? It was the clary sage with the lavender that did make me hesitant though but if that mellows out it could be worth it. I do like lavender but with gourmand fragrances.

Not really a fan of tuberose. The Frederick Malle sound interesting. I have Miller Harris Noix de Tubéreuse and Hermes Twilly D’Hermes.The Miller Harris is interesting.Twilly is just meh. It's just a skin scent on me. Dior Hypnotic poison edt has tuberose and I love it! Edited to add: I forget TF Orchid Soleil which I like a lot. So apparently, I am not that indifferent to tuberose. Just opposed to much of it in a fragrance
I always find my self wondering what tuberose smells like, im trying to complete my fragrance collection and im lacking a white floral dominant frag..im a male but im really curious about marfa by memo, though a but hesitant to blind buy since i tried a sample of tamarindo..but dont get me wrong tamarindo is a great perfume, its just leaning towards feminine than masculine IMO.
Marfa by Memo is absolutely fantastic, tamarindo on the other hand wasn't quiet as good. I find Marfa to be completely unisex, if you own or have previously smelled Supreme Bouquet - YSL, they are near 90% similar in my opinion. Both fantastic.
