Highlights of Japan's victory over Germany in the Women's Table Tennis Team Quarter Finals during the London 2012 Olympic Games. Action begins at GER (0) JPN (2).
In 1926, meetings were held in Berlin and London that led to the formation of the International Table Tennis Federation. The first World Championships were held in London in 1926, but the sport had to wait a long time before it was given its Olympic debut at the 1988 Seoul Games.

How could you think she didn't shake hands although she did shake hands with opponent's coach?
They had already done it just after they grabbed their towels.

    lol, no one's messing around..
it's just that countries have migrants then became citizens of theirs, and why so we all see these. basketball in the US has more blacks than white players.
Just as all US table tennis players in 2012 Olympics are all Asian. Namely Lily Zhang, Erica Wu, Tim Wang and the all favorite Ariel Hsing :)

I just play men, I need to develop a women's game to beat them. My forehand is dynamite but backhand never develops; should I move to pips on the BH.

The Japanese have been praising Ito so much in other Column, but when I said she has been recently being defeated so many times by China lady players. All together 2 comments
When I later check again my comments, they are all being erased, Japanese can not bear bear bad comments! How to advance in this competitive World of table tennis??? Some more Ito lost to China players never win a title on Championship. Shameful to Japanese !!! A Race can not accept defeats !!!

ITS NOT JAPAN THAT CANT TAKE CRITISISM! I honestly think that they just wanted to enjoy and bask in this new found glory! :) Maybe they just want the girl to feel good! But don't blame this on the whole country! That is surely unreasonable! I understand you may feel disrespected but you can not blame such small thing one a whole country with millions of different people!

Arrogant much... And tbh, chinese players may often move out of china to find a place for competitive play, since there is too much competiton in china to make it to the top

Hongjian Zhu That's a pretty ignorant statement. If you follow that logic, and if she is just so good ONLY because she's of Chinese ethnicity, how come she's not playing for the "motherland"? She just happens to be inferior to her opponent at that point, the end.

    • @Iennal

Shame on you Zhu! No Chinese will say ourselves we are smart blah blah blah..... I pretty doubt the purpose behind this of why you are saying this.
