To be fair the blocking he is showing comes from instinctive reflexes. If you see children fighting or play fighting, you'll see them move their legs the same way. Why is that a good thing? Because it's natural, and instinctive, you can easily train yourself to do it. Many fighters have had their leg broken just because they tanked a kick rather than providing an active defense like that. Tanking a kick really only works against a vastly weaker opponent, but even in that case it would be better to use your momentum to take the wind out of their sails. Worst case scenario your opponent is going to hurt their feet because they can't be certain where or how it's going to land.

Respect AikiDo. I learned AikiDo too. Steven, as one of the great masters, knows hundreds of techniques, tens of ways to implement each single move. I don't know how they develop this ability but they are really strong and can't be countered. AikiDo masters possess huge amounts of practical knowledge. Not just technical moves, but in combination with anatomy and psychology. The whole amount of knowledge completely removes gaps and borders between their techniques, they can transform one into another in a single move, you can't catch their moves or counter them because they are that fast. Their moves are never just simple straight kicks or punches. You think he does one thing but he tricks you into a tactical trap and performs some combination that literally suppresses your move to zero efficiency and it takes half a second. But you have to train one on one with them to see that. The only weak side is that AikiDo does not train you to be competitive to heavy weigth opponents.
@@EmmaDeepHarmony Sorry, I have problem with our claim. As someone that used to participate in competitions (Karate an Muay Thai, I know that these techniques are impossible to implement in a real fight or even in a competition. It is impossible to impellent any of these techniques unless you have already a very big advantage (lets say you already knocked his air and he is struggling to breath on something else that already gives you a very big advantage.
@@EmmaDeepHarmony Sorry, your explanation doesn’t convince me. It sounds equivalent to what the world used to think about the Russian army. The reality is that they had the biggest military if you count tanks but when the fight started, the losses were appalling because they didn’t have enough experience on the battlefield. And some things sound great when you are planning, but just don’t work the way you thought on the battlefield. Aikido is the same. It is too much theory that works well when you practice, but in reality, many parts of it will probably will not work as planned. The only way to be sure is keep testing on an actual fight. Aikido doesn’t do that.
@@user-hw6uk5bi6i He can't do the moves better than Seagal. Segal is hitting way harder without trying and Alex was told by his partner that it isn't hard as Seagal's.
Seagal knows his stuff. He has honed a number of techniques to perfection. He is very fast for his age or rather still has the right timing. Thanks to him, among other things, many martial arts have been spread. Seagal is known for his aikido, leaving aside the fact that his aikido is modified for practicality (tenshin aikido) on the street. However, before he started training in aikido, he earned a black belt in karate. You can find pictures of him with Fumio Demura, for example. He recently received an honorary 7th dan in Kyokushin Karate. I like to watch his techniques because a lot is taken from sword fighting (kendo, where he also holds a black belt).

I love how much respect fighters have for steven. They grew up watching him and even tho they all know what he teaches is bullshit, they still love spending time with him.
Sadly, you completely missed the "point" about Seagal; before becoming an "actor," he was an "instructor." With a 7th-dan black belt in aikido and a robust knowledge of other martial arts, Seagal has expertise, which is why many UFC and martial artists seek him out. Keep in mind, Seagal's aikido "forms" drills, as with all martial arts, only represent "fake" fighting, as demonstrated by Bruce Lee, Chuch Norris, Jimmy Wang Yu; Donnie Yen, Jeff Speakman, etc. So criticism of Seagal's is both bias and misplaced. Despite your criticism and ridicule, you cannot diminish Seagal's prowess, competence, and mastery.

Que conteúdo surreal, quando mais jovem assistia o steven nos filmes, agora ele esta dano aula para brasileiros, inclusive 1 morador de floripa uma cidade que amo.
I couldn't stop laughing when he said he could makes Alex's punches way more harder and even deadly. Then he said does he have to be filming that 😂😂😂😂 he didn't want the absurdity to be seen by everyone 😂😂😂.
😅 thats actually pretty gangster
Not harder but snapier... Seagal has more of a snap punch than Alex...
You can absolutely condition your hands, it’s done in Muay Thai as well as Karate and Kung Fu
best way is to film yourself and then slow the footage down, analyse the footage to see how you can improve movement and use less wasted movement or improve technique. I do movement coaching like ido portal does I help some athletes improve their movement

I will continue to say this about Steven and his style; It is not for long matches in the octagon against trained fighters. It is for in the moment, extreme situations out in the wild. The wrist manipulation, for example, would maybe never work in a professional fight, however, in a regular life situation, is an absolute option in certain circumstances.
And the Awards go to:....
.......
Poatan and his team.
I don't understand how they keep a straight face and just go with the flow.
Great Actors.
Because a lot of what he's teaching them is actually useful. Did you watch any of it or did you just decide to jump on the bandwagon because the rest of the net told you to?

I did Martial Arts for over 40 years.
I am not claiming to be some tough dude like he does.
Clearly, you have no clue since you judged me without knowledge, nor do you have a background to suggest that they are going to apply what he taught them.
Aikido sucks on the street. Do you want to defend yourself, boxing and BJJ...or kickboxing and BJJ....
BJJ has to be there , it is an essential element....Krav Maga ...etc....
Traditional Martial Art are good , but not good enough on the streets.
You can have an excellent kickboxing switching from Taekwondo, you just going to be taking and giving more hits.
Now, go worship your Idol
@@RS-kq9rrNo one serious says they use BJJ on the streets. In fact, every actual serious martial artist will tell you it's the one thing you DO NOT use in the streets because of how vulnerable it leaves you. Judo, wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, Tae Kwon Do, and yes, even Aikido are all better for the streets because they don't leave you as vulnerable. And yes, you can even find videos here on this platform of people using Aikido in the streets, mostly bouncers and security guards.

Please, stop ! This man is a fraud, a rapist of women and a scam. There are no acomplishments by which he should get any praise. Stop it !
People see Steven coming a mile away. Unfortunately his belly has somehow managed to outgrow his ego.
I see you are very impressed by aikido.
Why?
If it were any good, the masters would have won competitions. They don’t.
@@EmmaDeepHarmony
Sorry, your explanation doesn’t convince me.
Poatan actually use Seagal hand technique before the knocking out Hill.

Very fast for his age? At what? Eating cheeseburgers or sexually assaulting women?
