He's one of my all time favorites. Not many players can completely alter their technique after decades of playing due to injury and still sound as incredible as Steve.
Yes! I have a Schecter Diamond Deluxe that I loaded with the Steve Morse DiMarzio set and it sounds amazing, looks great. That being said, it's nowhere near the level of quality of a Music Man, and I will get a Morse Signature model someday. It's just my kind of guitar. I love the thinking behind it. Quality instrument.
All the pedals and guitar and amps are fantastic, but they are nothing without the player, just in animate objects. You Stevie are the uncopyable, unreplacable part that makes it all work & sound so good. Thanks for all your fantastic music and contributions and inspiration. It's hard for me to imagine Steve in Deep Purple after being a Dixie Dregs fan way back in the day! I saw the Dregs back in the early 80's, when he used to play his old Frankenstein Telecaster! If you're not familiar with Steve, do a bit of research, he's been around and is the real deal!
I had one in 1999 in Rome...fantastic experience because i knew a marvelous person! Strangest thing was that, talking about music, we discovered we were both LEFT HAND but we learned to play RIGHT because in this way was possible use all guitars in every place!
Why does Steve always have a motocross shirt on? whenever I see him these days? Except for the obvious reason...he rides a motocross bike at all times. Great guitarist! That should be better known than he already is!
