Happy to see the only train to Father's hometown in a vlog I wish to give you few information about this train which is being part of my life since my birth. This train used to start from Chennai Central around 7:30 PM during 1994-2000s Later changed to Chennai Egmore leaving at 17:20 Recently nearly 4 years ago ,the train changed its source from Chengalpet however matching the Chennai Egmore departure From Vijayawada to Niddadavolu junction which is on the Chennai Howrah line, there is a branch line available. In the main line, you can see Eluru and the branch line covers Gudivada Jn, Kaikalur, Akividu, Bhimavaram, Tanuku, Athili This branch line used to be a single diesel line due to this, Circar used to be huge delayed Now this route has been electrified with double line Also, Gudivada Jn paves way to Machilipatnam and Bhimavaram Jn to Narsapur. Circar express will not go to Bhimavaram Jn though, it passes through Bhimavaram town. Right now Narsapur Vijayawada has started electric loco services since end of March 2022 Once Bhimavaram Niddadavolu is finished then there will be no loco change After Niddadavolu, main line resumes hence you come to pass through Rajahmundry. To add a point about Rajahmundry after bifurcation, TDP goverment has renamed it to Rajamahendravaram however people still address it as Rajahmundry And Kakinada town is the last junction in this route It splits route to Kakinada port and another route is in construction to Amalapuram(not sure about this destination) Finally, Kakinada old name was Cocanada hence you see the COA as station code And Circar is the longest train in terms of duration between Chennai and Vijayawada.
