I really love your Titled Tuesday videos. Very entertaining to watch you play high level games against the field. Even if you lose sometimes in frustrating ways, you always do a great job explaining why certain positions could have been turned into a win or where you went wrong in time pressure. Thanks for the content Simon!
Agreed totally, these are the best. I'm almost certain I learn more from Simon's long videos than any other. He's also a guy I could happily spend a few hours down the pub with. I'm pretty sure that's rare in chess circles too :)
1:45:15 - "If I take that pawn that would have been stalemate, oh my word, how bad would that be" said Simon, moments before taking the opponent's last remaining pawn on f4 and watching the black king slide over to an available square on b6
OMG Simon can't believe the way you lost in the ending against Hess!!! I think that if you have treated him like an unknown opponent it couldn't go sideways like that, but it's a mind game after all.
I tried to tell you years ago about a ginger beer called 'Revenge of the Ginger' The can is cool. At the time I offered to send you one from Canada, on me, but I'd have to charge you for shipping these days. I don't think you caught the comment but check it out! I'd send you a pic of the can if you'd like... if you can't find it online heh
I have to admit there was a point in that game against Robert Hess where even I think I could have won, the difference is I would never GET anywhere NEAR that point in a game with Robert Hess. Love watching you play Simon.
"I think, therefore I lose" - GingerGM 2022
GingerGM Titled Tuesday vids are my favorite videos on TH-cam and it’s not even close
With all the nibbling, grinding and squeezing, had to double check and make sure I was watching a TH-cam chess video!
😂

2:07:16 "It was always winning" 😂 Simon you are ever so entertaining, what an end to the stream. You definitely deserved a beer after that.

Great stuff matey as always. 👍. Some good chess and funny moments .
you the man! hilarious comments after the last game :)
Love your chess and personality simon!
Classic Simon !! Excellent!
Congratulations on the won Queen vs Rook endgame. Last time I got that I circled for 10 moves around his King before offering a draw.
His opponent gave him a really easy time
@@alon3304 Or maybe it's because he's a grandmaster but maybe I'm crazy.
@@jamelmacon1130 I'm obviously talking about the endgame QvsR
@@alon3304 Me too they both played it will considering the time constraints.
dont worry ive seen really strong players (1900-2100) messing that ending up in classical chess tournaments.
Very entertaining as usual, thank you!
Highlight of the week. Crazy Chess + Brilliant Banter = Simon Williams.
OMG Simon can't believe the way you lost in the ending against Hess!!!

The British GPA was actually a quite good and instructive. Opponent made some strategical mistakes and white was able to show some basic ideas
The last game was AMAZING!
Not sure if you check comments but bought your English & Dutch opening courses. Love them both
Simon, you do reference Little Britain when you say "computer says no", right?
Dont be scared of lucid dreaming man. I had some pretty cool experiences.

At 50:48 simon could have won the rook with bishop. Am I missng something?
Just saw that! Entered the game into the engine - Bxb7 was my phone’s engine’s rec! 🤣🤷🏻♂️
@@mcronrn i did that same too, lol
Man this old european starling was parched.
Ur the only streamer besides Hansen that makes chess feel like WWE
At 0:50:50 Bxb7 wins a pawn and the exchange
Very funny comments!, thanks.
misery and joy. doesn't get any better than that. who wants that middle of the road drivel???
Most entertaining streamer
I think the sound is missing 🤔 the misery of recording hours of video without sound! (I hope you have the sound somewhere though!)
Hey Hans, you're just a bit eager there. ;) It always seems to not upload the sound within the first couple of minutes going live.
@Hans the sound is now working if you want to watch this amazing video!
@@GingerGM oh no, I forgot to put an "i am first" comment! 😅
I bought your other courses, ..I'm NOT Buying your proposed course 'Don't Think," NO THANK YOU BEAVIS!! :) :)

you didn't make it up. had a teacher that said use your noggin 30+ yrs ago
I have to admit there was a point in that game against Robert Hess where even I think I could have won, the difference is I would never GET anywhere NEAR that point in a game with Robert Hess. Love watching you play Simon.
Thinking is for idiots, Well said Simon . No wonder English chess is so strong.
Gotta say, game two was a positional masterpiece. Always in control. Very enjoyable.
