I had one like that from a 4850 a few months ago. We went reman and pay core charge. Have a 4650 apart that had the left brake go way too long and put metal in the whole hydraulic system !
Haha, wow, those planetaries are TOAST! Oliver/White had the best start on these in the 60s, and you don't even have to split the tractor to repair it. Simple. Regardless, those friction plates always seem to get the best of the splined shafts they work against, particularly if someone shifts often under heavy load.
Lol. It’s not to bad. You just need a good floor. And a machine to remove the cab and gear pack. Honestly the biggest problem we had was getting the parts. At the time I could only locate 2 rebuilt 15sp in the United States !

This tractor only pulls a 3000 gallon manure tank. So yes it gets used!!
i have a 4650 witj 8000 hrs and it sounds like this one underload in two of the gears.

how many hp and nm on the pto ?
160 hp I believe was the rated on this tractor. I don’t know about nm on the pto?
What did you end up doing for the repair?
Jeff Wines we bought a reman from worthingtons. 6500$. Tractor is back together.
