Your design is great DCA. The thing I appreciate about you more than ANY other yt channel is your commitment and appreciation for ambidexterity in the products you are promoting. Man I like that cleaver but I too am a sucker for a nesmuk!!
It seems like the knife industry is getting alot of hate for their high prices (rightfully so) but these more budget friendly brands are absolutly killing it!!
@KnifeCenter *_You guys must create a "Pocket Tango Bowie!" This would truly make for a stunning pocket fixed blade, and a lovely addition to the family!_*
Hey just a heads up. The yipper, like the mini nightshade from Vosteed, has a major design flaw. When you draw the lock back the blade hits the standoff damaging the sharpened edge. I am a lefty so I am a huge fan of the crossbar lock but these kinds of QC issues are kind of inexcusable. I messaged Ben and Vosteed but it seems like they are full steam ahead in lieu of these major flaws.
Oh no! I just ordered one! It'll be headed back to KC if mine is defective. 🤞I'm a lefty too, so, looking forward to a hopefully properly manufactured ambidextrous option.!
Sigh... I just don't see any $600 Benchmades in my future. Not because I don't have $600, but because I think that price is just ridiculous for a production folder.
I agree there’s so much more better things out there in that price range I just can’t see passing all that up for a benchmade folder oh it’s got a damasteel blade they say to that you just have to laugh 😆
Didn’t come to the comments to complain about prices, but just to say that I really love watching these videos every week. Thanks for letting us hang out with you every week and talk knives DCA. And congrats on the new design.
Actually, it's just the first collaboration with MKM. DCA already has some incredible releases. His own brand, Nordsmith, has some great knives. The Canteen is an incredible big knife, the Lapwing is there for Scandi fans, the Pilgrim is David's ultimate survival knife, and the Skipjack is an almost perfect pocket fixed blade. They are made by L.T. Wright, one of the very best knife makers in the world. If I could find an early Skipjack in AEB-L, I'd gladly sign over a paycheck for it. They're incredible. The Canteen in CPM-3V (although the current version is CPM154) has to be one of the very best designed large outdoor knives ever made. If I could only have one knife with which to survive, I might agree with DCA that the AEB-L Pilgrim might be about as good as it gets.
If I am going to pocket carry a fixed blade, it needs an ulticlip. It’s frustrating when you go to draw a knife and the sheath comes with it. That magnet doesn’t appear to be as efficient in retaining the sheath in the pocket and I know when the ulticlip locks in it isn’t going anywhere.
Hey guys! I'm a regular viewer and just wanted to point out that the camera angle was a little off today, leaving the knives largely out of the bottom of the shot. I find this highly important as I look at the lineup each video and skip to the knives I may be interested in buying to hearing about. Thanks for all you do and keep up the good work DCA, Seth and everyone else involved!
Camera angle keeping the blade size hidden, now I can't scan the table for any XL knives and skip ahead to the good stuff. Bummer for me, smart for KC.
I thought I would make a drinking game and take a shot every time David says "quite nice." Bad idea, had alcohol poisoning before we got through the Civivi's lmao.
They are pricey, but owning the premium mini Bugout in carbon scales and S90V has been a phenomenally good ownership experience for me. I recommend giving the brand a try, it'll definitely grow on you
Love seeing Civivi with their products. I know it's a much older model (discontinued) but i snagged one of their Appalachian Drifters (not the Drifter 2) in S35VN and I love it. Hopefully they come back out with some more "traditional" style knives soon
Hey David. I just wanted to congratulate you on your latest collaboration , MKM did a great job bringing your design to life. They look fantastic, definitely on my list :).
The MKM Pocket Tango 3 is a perfect candidate for my lunch knife, but it's a bit out of my price range. Any chance of getting that in a more cost-conscious steel? I always keep a sharp fixed blade knife in my lunch kit, currently a Buck Diamondback 476 I bought at Ace Hardware on a whim, for cutting crusty artisan baguettes, because my favorite sandwich is a jambon-beurre, and while no sandwich shop in my area makes them, I can always buy baguettes and ham and butter and make them myself. I also end up using that knife to slice apples and prep other food on the go. The Pocket Tango 3 is a beautiful design. Well done!
They should be on their way to us next week. After that it depends on how long the trip from Italy takes and how long it takes for them to get through customs. But I would wager to say, pretty soon -DCA
Man 600 and change for a gold class don’t get me wrong gold class benchmades are nice but compared to what else I can get out there in the six hundred dollar range I don’t know anymore

The Nessmuk Pocket Tango is great. The other two designs are completely uninteresting to me, cheers to those who like that design, but it's of no use to me. The Nessie, though, seems like a fantastic design. If you combine the Nessmuk Pocket Tango with a custom kydex sheath (magnets as a sheath retention system is beyond silly) and an Ulti-Clip, you've really got an awesome set up.
Hello again Tom & Josh. You both survive yet another event.! As always great show DCA. That Boker Bronco looks similar to a Fox fixed blade especially the handle. Love the Cronos Alligator with that multi purpose look. Catch you on the next vid. Cheers from Australia.
That pocket Tango gives me Lionsteel H1 vibes, which is a good thing since it's one of my favorite pocket-carry fixies. Better yet, I always felt the the H1 could do without the finger ring, so you can imagine my excitement with this new design.

I love how these budget brands can absolutely nail the action with button/axis locks, yet I just returned a $400 Tactile Knife Co. Maverick because the axis lock was atrociously stiff. loosen the pivot and you get blade play... huge bummer.
THE YIPPER HAS A DESIGN FLAW!!! Please do NOT buy the yipper until MKM address the issue with the crossbar not locking up when closing. This allows the blade to over swing into the close and come down into contact with the standoff or barrel spacer.

How long does it usually take, when a knife is on "pre order"? I ordered the Spyderco UK Penknife in Magnacut, which I am very looking forward to. Will I have to wait only days, weeks, months?
Just so you know in my experience they sell unlimited pre orders so they may never actually fill it and you won't know until you start hearing about others getting them and after a week wonder where yours is and call/email to ask just for them to tell you sorry they are sold out... they get away with it because they don't charge you until it ships...
