SandyMakesSense Hello from Kosovo. After seeing your wonderful life in London I started to look for an opportunity to become an au pair in Uk, so that eventualy I could start and live there. Got some host families interested but I gave up after a host mom told me that au pairs there get jobs as cleaners!!! I am a graduated lawyer and have a professional job in my country so I just gave up from au pairing. Was my decision a mistake?
sorry that your experience of english men is so terrible that they come across as total sleaze bags. maybe its a london thing but that crap (multiple dating of women) doesn't fly in the rest of the country. if someone tries that crap ? dump them quicker than you can blink.
Tina Hasani I'm from New Zealand, but have lived in London for twenty years. When I first arrived, I thought "oh, my banking experience will help me get a job here - London is one of the financial capitals of the world!". It wasn't so simple - like you, I speak English fluently (it's my mother tongue) and had some decent experience in New Zealand. However, the typical "rule" here is that unless you have "London job experience", you often have to take a job that is pretty unqualified/junior. I actually had a recruitment agent say to me "oh, but you don't know The City" (Of London) - one of the two financial centres of London. I said to her "are you not going to submit me because I'm not British??". I then hung up on her. She then rang back, and said "erm, ah, I think there was a misunderstanding - I've changed my mind, and will submit your CV". After a few months, many companies then suddenly seem to change their minds. It's crazy, but I knew countless foreign friends with great English skills and professional backgrounds who have been through this process. I was also a recruitment consultant here. I think that things are starting to improve, but just bear in mind that companies here often seem to be a bit wary of foreigners with no local experience, even if the job responsibilities are exactly the same. You might have to take a relatively unskilled job at first, then there are few problems.
Tina Hasani You're welcome. Btw, make sure to modify your CV to the British style, which is "Professional Profile, Key Skills (bullet-pointed), Job chronology (with the company first, then your job title - unlike New Zealand), Education, then Contact Details". Keep it no longer than four pages MAXIMUM. Good luck!!
The multiple dating thing certainly 'isn't' normal Sandy. I think you may have had some bad experiences with dating over here if they're the kind of men who do that.
I think those comments about British men dating multiple women at same time is maybe true of certain small elements in certain circles in London (recruitment being one) but is not very common at all. Come and date outside London. I have travelled quite a bit an actually find British men are quite monogamous compared to many abroad.
Love all your videos and it is very helpful source of information especially to people who plans to move to UK. I am finally here and thank you for all you tips. keep it up sandy!
this must be my favourite one yet! :'D as a german man living in the uk, i can attest that the "exclusivity clause" caught me off-guard as well. i thought to myself "first off, where the hell do these women find the time to date 3/4 men!? and secondly, isn't it exhausting getting to know more than one person intimately at the same time!? gott im himmel!" also, love that you love techno. techno and industrial metal will be in my veins until the day i draw my last breath, i'm sure.
You are give me a very positive energy. I also leave my native city and goes to the bigger city. Now I have been leaning English because I dream about far travelling. Good luck!
Totally agree on German guys in London, on the other hand, British guys I hang out with can have fun with loads of different girls but once they start dating someone they stick to one person exclusively :)
Hey Sandy :) just wanted to say that I really do enjoy your videos. I am from Berlin and am actually going to England for a year in just a couple of days to work as a language assistant. When I was younger, I went to school in Englanf for half a year and I also spent my year abroad in England when I was in my second year at university - so, I know what I am getting myself into ;)) Hope to check out the bars you mentioned when I'm visiting friends in London :D
London is not England, you obviously socialise around or live in gentrifing East london, most people who now live here have socially cleaned out the real Londoners like me who cannot afford to live here anymore. London is so fab isn't it.
I have to disagree on the dating etiquette, think that says more about the men you are dating than English men in general. Maybe the Hoxton hipsters you're hanging about with like to do that but it certainly isn't indicative of the majority... you need to get out of London a lttle more, Sandy.
Coming to the video late here I know - I’m wondering if the “exclusivity” bit is more American than British? It’s not something I have a lot of experience at, but I get the impression Americans have those two distinct stages, of “dating” then “going steady” or being exclusive with someone later?
Hello Sandy, I have been using your videos as a guide to moving to London for a 6 month program this October. Anyway the program would be at former Camden Townhall and I am wondering if you can assist me with getting the right accommodation around Camden. Thanks
hey Sandy :) Do you also think there is a difference between German and British men approaching women? When I visited UK, I had the impression that British Men are much more likely to approach us women. German men seem so..idk...shy to me :P
No I missed the opportunity :( but I would like to know if you miss going to concerts from german bands? I couldn't live without my bands. So I would fly over just for concerts :D. And you? Grüße :)
I don't believe. I don't know how I camed up to your video talking about a city that I lived in the pass a couple of years ago. And with all the respt you were like bla bla bla bla until I listen "my favorit book it is the time traveler's wife" and I was shocked!! Because my friend you are not the only one that people laugh about it.... that's my favourite book aswell. All the best!!
Half the men in London arent even English? They are tourists acting a fool or rich business playboys from all countries, including England. Like seriously, London is a city, not the whole country 🤦♀️
SandyMakesSense You've been here more than five years legally, so it'll cost you a few hundred £££s, you have to sit the stupid "Life In The UK" exam, and bingo - permanent residency, then a passport two years afterwards. Expect the usual British bureaucracy and inefficiency at the Home Office though - if you decide to go for it, I can give you some tips to make it easier. Ganz einfach 😁!
Wow It wasn-t like that when I was dating in the UK, but it was 20 years ago. Are not people in the UK worried about picking up dieases its a free for all.
Hi. It's rather late for me to say this as I've just come across your TH-cam channel but welcome to the U.K.. I've got to say that dating several people at the same time is the exception and not the rule. While we may not say much about other men or women dating several at the same time, it's not to say we accept it, but accept it's their choice (even if we do secretly hope they get caught out and sooner rather than later so as not to hurt the other parties involved). Personally I think dating several people at the same time is the height of bad manners and emotionally cheating.
Sven Lm Good looking men in London like dating different people as they like changes!! It's like the food... They never want the same every day :)) sex is a pleasure...
I don't get dating, I'm 32, I have never dated anyone, I'm just going to marry the one for me (I don't know her yet) and that's it. I have tried dating but it was more like just taking out people I know. Like why would I do something that is contrary to the holy word.
Generalising about how British men date, is truly horrifying. Not every guy is like that. Some of us are very special, very unique. Some of us have class, and morals. The idea of “playing the field” is disgusting. You assume, you will miss out.....
I have watched your videos for 2 years now and I never thought: Omg what eyebrows does she has?? PLEASE DON'T DO THAT EVER AGIAN!! YOU are so cute! You don't need this eyebrow shadow shitty stuff! :)
London has the highest rate of STIs in the United Kingdom according to Public Health England who report that there were over 422,147 new diagnoses of sexually transmitted infections in 2017.
Yeah, dating multiple people at the same time is not normal here for 90% of men, what is much more likely is that you are aiming out of your league and ending up as a side girl.
Any other questions? Leave them below ❤️

I'm a British bloke and I've only ever dated one woman at a time and that's the same with my other male friends as well.
I'm English and dating numerous people at the same time isn't normal here. At least not where I'm from anyway.
You have such a great vibe, very positive and kind. I stumbled onto your video about what you liked about London.
+Stealing Beauty Oh thank you so much :))
The multiple dating thing certainly 'isn't' normal Sandy. I think you may have had some bad experiences with dating over here if they're the kind of men who do that.
No, I do agree. I just think that is more a London thing, rather thann something that happens in the whole of the UK... haha

You are give me a very positive energy. I also leave my native city and goes to the bigger city. Now I have been leaning English because I dream about far travelling. Good luck!

+mira mirrage 100% !!! I'd go for a few months first I guess to see how I like it and then decide :)
This is thé best thing to do i think . love u 💕
there is no dream job ... there is a job of yours which you found yourself... working on others is not a dream
Would you ever consider becoming a British citizen?
Gene I definitely would yes! I think it's quite hard AND expensive though :)
I think here in the states it's just time in country, which you've obviously got, and a test; it doesn't cost anything.
SandyMakesSense You've been here more than five years legally, so it'll cost you a few hundred £££s, you have to sit the stupid "Life In The UK" exam, and bingo - permanent residency, then a passport two years afterwards. Which places do you like in England outside of London?
+Darryl Eastbourne!!! 😍 And Brighton but Eastbourne is stunning
They dont bury the dead in Eastbourne, they prop them up at bus stops to make the place look busy.
Wow It wasn-t like that when I was dating in the UK, but it was 20 years ago. Are not people in the UK worried about picking up dieases its a free for all.

I am a man.. i accept German way of dating.
Ive never dated more than one woman at a time.

Was sind eigentlich diese seltsamen "Vibes", die Du so oft in Mund nimmst!
But fruity tea isn't really tea, is it? There's no actual tea leaves in it.
I thought you were another YT girl named Nadia Lee.
Very similar. For me it is very hard to tell the difference.
