It's plausible that even if every human that ever existed had spent the entirety of their lives contemplating the complexity of life, we still wouldn't, collectively, be able to fully grasp just how complex it is. Crazy.

Maybe if 'the complexity of life' was a problem of computation, but clearly it isnt.
Kierkegaard's supreme paradox: "the attempt to discover something that thought cannot think."

@@briankim2746That's a good point. But many of us struggle to accept that, maybe that is the real complexity.

Absolute blessing to have J.P. ❤ A critique if I may. We are only happy progressing (ROUGH Recall of JP comment @ 9 mins), how would one explain dance, comedy & music? There is no end goal, but rather it's enjoying the experience itself. Sharing that with others makes it even better, therefore is that not the meaning of life? Sharing experience with the rest of humanity, despite the pain, terror, suffering etc.? Children of God (if you'd like to use that terminology) playing & working in harmony without conflict. Happy to be proven wrong/ debated with, however Krishnamurti debunked this years ago IMO. Peace, Love & Happiness to All 🙏🏻❤️

starting at about 8:45: "anxiety/stress makes for aging, burns you out..."
fuckin A bro, that's worth more than every piece of shit sold in order to make you look younger/prettier/slow aging, cosmetics and supplements etc... and here you are giving it away, basically for free. Rock on bruh
So step 1: make peace with your death and the fleeting nature of existence. Hold no grudges, do not cling, as Teddy would say, you are already elderly if lucky or dead, and it's O.K...

I firmly believe that any gender studies major listening to this 15 minute clip would extract more value from Jordan's monologue than their entire four years in college where every topic is bifurcated down to a battle of oppressor vs. oppressed.

I have long been looking for a series of keywords to input everyday of my life on the search engine and still find it interesting. The idea was, if I can find something that drives my interest for that long, I might do a master by reseach on that topic. The issue is, I have now found the two keywords I was looking for. They are "Jordan" and "Peterson". Unfortunately I am not sure this interest will help me get the certificate I was hoping to get....what would the research proposal look like? Any time I try to further narrow it I get pushed back to the previous keywords. The content that pops up for those two is just so widely available and reliably interesting it is hard to beat. I don't think any of the topics he covers by itself would be of sufficient interest for me, and I have no control over what I find interesting. If it is not interesting, it can be my job, not my hobby. I need a hobby that gives me a certificate.

I dislike the lobster analog, despite it's deepness in our shared brain. Lobsters don't need air to breath and we do, and I think our ability to speak to one another severely differentiates us from most underwater creatures with regards to social hierarchy. Maybe the rooster as an appropriate middle-ground? Doesn't explain monogamy; though nothing really does in today's day and age.

Crows. Mate for life. Very intelligent for a bird. Large brains in little bodies. Use tools. Have local dialects. Hoard and hide food (forward planning.) They’re social, but pair off. Can form alliances with humans and other animals for regular feeding and actively trade by providing gifts in return. They respect and mourn their dead.

If you cannot understand the reasoning for his use of the lobster, you cannot possibly grasp the rest of this theme. Dude, it's BECAUSE we share so few similarities, outside of the nervous system, that this is such a prefect illustration.

That first minute or so grates my inner being because I know that you did the Genesis study and know that God created man in His image. We were not hanging on trees as some sort of mammal. If we did evolve from mammals, where are those that are still evolving. And if we could find one, would we cal it humal, or maman..... as a follower of your work, I am disappointed with this. Nothing of the rest of the video will make sense to me now.
The topic of that first few minutes is so crucial for me because it shows me in an instant someone's fear of God and someones acceptance of His Word and if they believe it to be true or not. If they don't believe it, then nothing else they say matters because nothing else will save me than believing in Jesus Christ and what He did for us all.
If Jesus is not the focus, then it's pointless.

If a religion/church does not provide for the rights to continue participating in natural instinct, forgive and move on, so the two can have children without guilt, regret and shame, they will be doomed to create generations who will continuously demand faith from those they can’t forgive for having sex.
Kind of like God, pretending they ate from a tree, when the real transgression was sex. And, he’s still holding a grudge, for six thousand years.
