- We don't often see backflips at a World Cup. Nathan Rennie did one on the Dual course in Durango in 2003, but since then, has it happened? Regardless, when World Cup downhill racers like Kaos Seagrave and Brendan Fairclough are doing backflips in practice followed by pinballing off a million rocks and roots, you know it's a good course! This track is bananas. Absolutely awesome. The rocks really showcase the strength and poise of the pros.
Can’t wait to go up tomorrow I only live 30 minutes away from the venue I grew up on this track (though I’m only 14) it’s amazing to have all of my idols all right in front of me

I know they're having fun hecking the dudes at the first jump but they really should move the pole back up to the top.
yeah, it's a weird (sad) pole placement by the UCI officials for that jump. basically racers can just skip the jump, as opposed to hitting the jump properly or a b-line go-around.

@@stirfrybry1 whistle is to alert the next track official that a rider is coming. If for some reason the rider doesn't show they'll know there was a problem. And Vital has no way of controlling the course officials. That intruding whistle is in pretty much every UCI DH video you'll see. Again, not Vital's fault, doesn't deserve your thumbs down. All your really doing is ruining future content by Vital/other TH-camrs and the way it's distributed from TH-cam to your recommendation list.
@@200Duece i have never watched any bike racing event outside of TH-cam esp as i grew up in africa. But immediately i watched and heard the whistles i noticed it was a rough checkpointing thing. Meaning they blow when the rider reaches a certain point. I am glad you explained why they do that. Am glad we get this videos as i don't know where to watch this where i currently stay.
