bro i remember this fight, on a crazy hype card with sterling/cejudo
I was mainly paying attention for the Kron fight 1 match earlier, and was so disappointed and didnt want to bring up bjj with friends lol
Then this dude comes out and just has an absolute SCRAPPER of a fight, cant wait to see him fight again

Mixing upper body and lower body attacks like the K guard/triangle dilemma is underutilized in MMA

Nice video! Great editing, funny and informative. My idea for more vids is to showcase bjj heroes in the UFC. Similar to this video but it could be current or former fighters.

Ok what I like about this video:
Some Old school ideas that are still good using kimura in the clinch usually reserved for high level Ju Jitsu guys as a lot can go wrong in this case but if used correctly can get you top position.
Flying arm triangle I'm going to go over why I like this 1st this is a excellent move to use to reverse takedowns to get on top if you are a Ju Jitsu guy and don't want to just defend the normal way by using force on force block takedown, defend against cage which most wrestlers especially sambo guys are used to by now.
Using high guard to initiate a move especially for arm trapping this is good as while you're on bottom you're not letting the opponent have an option to rain down punches on you.
What I don't like in this video as these are the reason Ju Jitsu guys are less successful in mma unless you're Nate Diaz:
The concept of Ju Jitsu used in this fight - Submission 1st
This is a bad idea as in mma if you so sub 1st most fighters have some JJ training so stopping a sub off the bat doable for most fighters lower success rate keeps if this is your concept then building on the fight is harder since there's no damage and less energy is spent since most guys defense is good off the bat.
Not going for any reversals - If you're a Ju Jitsu guy essentially you have to become a reverse wrestler to win fights using the other fighter momentum against them I would even consider Ju Jitsu mma guys to do JJ matches with no submissions allowed with reversals as points as in mma you have to think position 1st even throw up a flying triangle the goal has to be to get on top damage the opponent then make them work only to be met with a finish.
This means Position, defense, ground striking 1st submission has to be the last option.

  • @rave123456v
    @rave123456v ปีที่แล้ว

Long story short the JJ guy fought this way:
    Sub 1st position last
In mma it should be this way
Position 1st, ground striking 2nd, Sub last

first video, I like your style brother.
How do you rate his BJJ in mma against Brian Ortega. I keep seeing over and over how this kids BJJ is better than Ortega, or at th least on par.
what has he shown in the ufc. He has 2 quick round 1 kos
Dec Loss to Evloev (which ages very well)
and a submission against Gavin Tucker primarily a boxer / striker who does have BJJ background but out of a smaller gym on the east coast in canada.
Compare that with Ortega who's fighting Moicano (subbed) Thiago Tavares, Guida, Edgar, Zombie, Yair 2x (1 sub) he even put volk a legit p4p great in WORLDS of trouble multiple occasions.
I just cannot fathom how his dec loss to evloev and sub win over tucker scratch the surface of what Ortega has done in the UFC.
I dont mention pre UFC because if you're supposed to be the next elite guy in the division I expect him to dominate the regional scene. I saw he has 3 wins in Lux which is south america premiere MMA org all against UFC vets but again. Ortega has fought so many top 10 guys with wins and subs against very legit black belts. Moicano is no push over for ANYONE and he handed him his first O

      Thanks for the comment man!
In a straight grappling match I would give Diego the edge, just because from my POV he has a much more modern and diverse grappling attack. Brian is dangerous and adaptable on the mat for sure but he’s rudimentary technique wise, just has a nasty squeeze and is good at spotting opportunities. Diego is more versed in the leg entanglements and modern guards I reckon. In MMA though, who knows? Whole different ball game and they’re both tough as hell! Can’t wait to watch the scrap.

In my experience of four years avoiding copyright with the UFC, this is actually the least annoying looking way to do it. Otherwise you have to use copious amounts of filters and effects and cropping
