Interesting choice. You could make it appear that the missing pillar was replaced by a welded in length of angle iron and put it on cinder blocks with brake drums but no wheels or tires.

Great truck to do a rust bucket group build. I'm actually restoring a '63 Ford pick up with that same trailer. Just trying to locate the chrome parts for the truck. Looking forward to your build. Good luck Eric.

This truck was in a lot of other kits/parts. Hobby Lobby (occasionally) has the AMT 1960 pickup with trailer for around $35.
