I am shocked that there isn’t over one million subscribers to this channel. Like someone else said the editing is spot on. To me this is just a great family farming channel. Great job Nick, Leg Arms and Bob. Thanks for sharing!!
I watch a lot of farmtubers & just said the same thing to my husband. They’re also the only channel I’ve seen sponsored by Case AND have Big Buds. They can build anything too
I think longer videos would help to get more subs. I'm the type of viewer that likes long videos and always I watch something on this channel I wish that was more to see. Just my opinion😊
Same if there's anyone I'd love to sit down and talk to/ pick the brain about farmin it would be these guys. I grew up on cattle farms and dealing with cattle my whole life but I always dreamed of getting into farming. And the welkers make it look 1000× more fun
As a retired UK farmer , I just hope the Welker farmers , who are a great family have a wonderful harvest in 2023 , because if anyone deserves it they do after two disastrous years . My very best wishes and hopes .
Nick and Scott, When you are working on booms and stuff down low, follow your dads example and use a mechanics seat instead of working on your knees. Trust me, when you get to be your dads age, you will thank yourself !! I wish you a wonderful and productive growing season and harvest.
Been watching this channel for over 2 years and I have to say I love how your farm does as much as you can yourself instead of farming out the work to contractors! Love it! Keep up the hard work!
You guys are making this look way too easy. A testament to the knowledge you all bring to any project. Can't wait to see Big Brute's modernization in action! Take care and God bless!
Now that is a set of spray booms, you will be able to cover a few more acres during a day of spraying. Gotta say you guys do most all the work on machinery yourselves which I admire you for that.
I continue to pray for you and the Welker farm. To be established that long is impressive to me, that doesn’t happen often. I own (unfortunately do not farm yet) my original family farm that was certified by the state of MN as a Century Farm. Its a mere 400 acres, but have many memories. We grew a lot of wheat, for straw bedding in late summer. Plant 23!!!
I am surprised after the booms were installed your dad didn’t say we’re in Boom Town now. Love your videos and how you rebuild things. Praying for a great 2023 harvest.
Scott had an I’m getting older moment. When he said it was only in 2016 or 17. Then realized that was 6-7 years ago. Oh how time flies by. Hope all are well and safe.
So many thanks. You guys have a passion for growing food products and applying tech to create efficiency. Fighting machinery problems and Mother Nature, (and broken arms... that he will never forget).
A Corvette will only depreciate once it is purchased. I am very interested to watch this system work and what savings ($$ and chemical) you will experience using the system. The boom should be given the name, “Waste Not, Want Not” if it works as intended.
When I was a custom applicator, I built and modified booms and spray systems. If you do not have a "floating boom" I can offer you an easy mod that will dramatically improve the life of your new boom. Off the shelf parts! Also, and easy mod for your break-aways.
BIG BRUTE appears to be only 2 wheel drive. If that is indeed the case, the front tires should be mounted with the chevrons facing backward for better steerability.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Step by step you are getting the sprayer tractor all setup. The new tires look great on it. Sure is a different trend design. Should work good for you. The booms are coming along ok. Step by step you are getting them adjusted and setup. Looks like it will take a while yet. Lots of adjustments there it seems. Hang in there. Sounds like your seeding is just around the corner. Spring seeding time is here-yeah!!!!!!! Time to go go go. Let’s get the seed a going. Going back to the king pins on the spray tractor. Would take a lot to bend them I would think. I would get the repair kit and see how it goes with the new tires. Then you have them on the shelve if you need them. Those new booms are huge huge in length/wow. Be nice when done. What do you do with the old big tires. Any core return value in them???????? Oh nice to have for a spare or a super big sand pile. About it I guess. Lots going on for all of you. Busy busy time now. Thanks for everything Welkers. My prayers are with you for good seeding and in return a great crop!!!!!!! Thanks The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve
You all need to get one of those small garage roller seats like your dad was on for doing things like that. Your knees will thank you when you get older.
Oosh that’s $105k by my math. My Dad always said cost is a good measure to consider - but not the best, he said ROI was the better measure. Here’s to hoping u get the corvette one day. 😅
Life of a farmer is one step forwards and three back. I really don't think paint is a big issue for the tractor... just make money happen is the best one can hope for. I do agree that paint and polish does help morale tho and that is very important also.. cheers and god bless all of you.... didn't see cody so hope he is sleeping on a couch
I was just telling my husband (who I got hooked on Welkers, FastAg & a few others) how the Welkers (& Tony Fast) fix & build everything. It’s amazing! I’m thinking a lot of that is out of sheer necessity too. Both farms seem to be pretty isolated, relying on shops to do all the mechanics would put you out of business.
@@RobertWelkerFarmerBob I completely accept the diagnosis of “addiction to generational family farmtubers” & hopefully I have a lot of company bc the country needs to know what it takes to feed us!
Before you order new king pin kits check and see if Kiaser makes a kit for that axle They cost a little more but they are 10 times easier and last a hole lot longer
King pins might do it. Or you might need to bend the front axle to get correct camber. They can be twisted to correct caster. Used to do that in a truck shop in Iowa. Scary.
Been watching yall for years, As someone who has already lost my dad, cherish the time. It will be some of your best and longing time you will have. Stay safe God Bless. Oh Legarms, Nick don't sink the buds, its been a wet year so far
I would definitely run that exhaust into the cab. Not only will you get less oxygen you keep the emissions down as long as you keep the doors and windows shut
I think it’s cool that the boys work so well with Dad in the shop,(there not boys) but I’m old,and know it………………or,they hide their squabbles , very well! I’m not pressing the latter. You guys are super!

That’s just how those rear tires wear. Our sprayer truck was the same way. One blew one day in the shed. Thankfully not on the road.

Tank you for the videos! God Bless the 2023 planting
When swapping or repairing tires, use mineral spirits as a lube on the bead! It will dry in 24 hours but it makes the rubber really slippery when wet.
Love seeing the big brute evolve over the years, God bless y'all!
The Bud looks great with those tyres and the shiny booms.

Loved that Timelapse shot of you guys hammering the drum!
Very impressive gents. Thanks for the food and great entertainment
It's great to see all 3 of you working together. Love it.
FYI, Toe out can wear the insides as well. Although most times it is camber.
Hard working family, what an inspiration.
Great to see all of you working together! God bless you all and I pray you have the most profitable year ever!
Awesome! Thanks for posting.
If you were to rotate the tires you'd get a longer life out of the tires. The wear would be more even..
Looks great at this point. Looking forward to seeing it in the field.
Good Job guys. Can't wait to see it spraying.
Great video Welker Farms
Love the sound of the Utility truck 👍👍👍🤜🤛🇬🇧🇺🇸
Those big rubbers made it look even better! Nice!
😂 your pause when choosing sencors or corvette was priceless.
Just wondering when this video was coming out and boom! Here it is
Great word play, boom. 😂
And those tires still wear out faster than those BKT tires. We run them on one of our floaters at work. We are lucky to get a season out of them.
if i had a farm, i'd want those 2 boxes, hard to spray crops with a vette!! tell leg-arm we need a house update!!
God bless! Love you guys. Hope your spring planting goes well and your harvest is plentiful. In His Name, Amen.

Hello Nick,
If you ever get tired of farming or in your down time, you would be a good school teacher.
Your kids are going to have the biggest tire swing in town
😂🤣😂
Could you rotate the tires from side to side to get more life out of them? The inside wear would then be on the outside on each side.
The upgrades are looking good fellas.
I like the boxes better! 🙂 Looking good Big Brute! Have a great day Welker family! 👨🦳👨🏻👱🏻♂️

Job well done guys, nice bit of kit
Before you order new king pin kits check and see if Kiaser makes a kit for that axle

I second the Kaiser king pin kits. So much easier and longer lasting
you can coin flip the tires to even out the wear on the tread
I was like, whoa, whooooaaa, whoooooooooooaaaaa those arms swung so fast!!
Had air in the lines

I've always thought that you run lugs on a freewheeling axle backwards for better tire wear and handling🤷🏻♂️. What I was always taught
You are correct. We were going to see how much it rips
As steers that are non driven shouldn't they be mounted with the lugs backwards?
They might need to be. We'll evaluate what it does
